this is an important update regarding how we handle rule breakers here!
we absolutely love and appreciate how active you all are in keeping our space safe and clean
when you tag the mod team to alert us about scammers, bots, or bad behavior, it is incredibly helpful and shows how much you care about keeping our garden weed free!
that said, we want to make sure the way you do that stays respectful and welcoming for everyone, even when we are dealing with people who don't necessarily deserve it. from now on, if you need to alert a mod, please just tag us or state the issue simply (e.g., @MOD • Gardener scammer in chat) without any extra aggression or name-calling.
unnecessary comments just add fuel to the fire. these rule-breakers will be dealt with or banned by the mods anyway, so there is no need to waste your energy on them!
let the mod team handle the actual judging and discussion so the public chats stay peaceful for everyone else. when a new member joins, we want their first impression of our community to be positive, not filled with drama.
let's all be a good example for the community and not let emotion or annoyance take over. even when dealing with the worst of the worst, we don't resort to mean comments. let's kill 'em with kindness instead!
