I know there are straight femboys but they seem very rare compared to bi or gay femboys

My reasoning is that femboys already are more open minded to their identity on average as they have already challenged and questioned gender stereotypes, roles, expression, and often identity as well. So it tracks that a lot of them have also thought about their sexuality as well- more than people who might be closeted to themselves but never figure out their identity because they haven’t challenged it like femboys do.
Also the other way around. Bi and gay people are logically more open to exploration of other parts of their identity as they have explored their sexuality, so they are more open minded about gender as well and what challenges it, like femboys.
Also a lot of people’s gateway into discovering they’re gay/bi etc is through their discovery of/attraction to femboys.
And one more reason is that unfortunately, a lot of people (even queer people!) don’t want to date femboys because femboys challenge gender norms, and they are uncomfortable with that. So a lot of the time, femboys and/or queer people gravitate toward each other (as queer people are still a lot more likely to accept femboys than cishet non-femboy people for largely the same reasons I’ve listed), and because by definition most femboys are male, bi/gay femboys probably* find partners with other queer femboys/other queer people more often than straight ones so they are more seen/mentioned in posts(?).
*of course there are MANY exceptions like me so probably take this with a grain of salt :(
I feel like it’s the same reason T4T is a (rather common) thing. People find solidarity in others that share the same struggles because they understand each other better than most people.
TL,DR: femboys are already familiar with exploring their identity so more of them are likely to come out to themselves than others + they find solidarity in each other

But essentially I think it’s because people who are more willing to explore/challenge their identity/norms, like femboys, are more likely to be queer. More specifically, they’re more likely to discover they’re queer, because they are willing to explore their identity by being a femboy.
People that tend to be less willing to explore/challenge their identity/norms, like most non-femboys, appear to be mostly cishet as a result. There’s a lot of stories from people that discovered they were queer only later in life because they didn’t explore or challenge their identity much for various reasons.
Indeed, I think many cishet guys aren’t femboys (and many reject or are unaware of the idea entirely) because that boldly challenges the common ideas about the roles of masculinity and men (and sexuality too) and as such there’s a negative stigma around femboys that causes cishet guys to tend to avoid entertaining the idea that they might prefer being one.
Now of course, that said, there are lots of cishet men who have explored these possibilities healthily, and either find they enjoy being a femboy, or they simply prefer expressing themselves with the brand of masculinity that’s more commonly accepted for men, and both are 100% valid forms of being cishet.
