We're considering launching a separate PVP Discord and server community while continuing to operate our existing PVE server. This would mean two separate Discords, giving players the option to choose which community they want to be part of.
Before anyone panics, here's what you need to know:
☣️ The PVE server isn't going anywhere. We plan to continue running it for those who prefer that environment.
⚔️ The PVP community would have its own Discord. It would be a separate community, not simply a name change to the existing server.
📜 The rules will remain essentially the same across both communities. The server name won't change the rules, expectations, or enforcement. Players are already dying on PVE, and choosing PVP won't suddenly make deaths a new part of DayZ. Rule violations will still carry consequences, including bans when warranted.
We want to understand what our players actually want before moving forward.
