Age Verification Coming: Prepare for Access
Summary
The Unsupervised Adults ¹⁸⁺ community is announcing that due to the server being flagged as NSFW, members will likely need to complete Discord's upcoming age verification to maintain access next month. Verification options include submitting an ID or using a facial age estimation technology that processes scans locally. This information is being shared so members can prepare for the mandatory access requirement.
@ANNOUNCEMENTS HELLO! IVE BEEN HEARING A LOT ABOUT THE AGE VERIFICATION THAT WILL ROLL OUT NEXT MONTH.
I WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT THIS SERVER WAS FLAGGED BY DISCORD A COUPLE MONTHS AGO AS AN NSFW SERVER.
WHEN THIS AGE VERIFICATION SHIT COMES OUT- IN ORDER TO ACCESS THIS SERVER YOU WILL MOST LIKELY NEED TO VERIFY TO DISCORD
THERES 2 WAYS TO VERIFY THROUGH DISCORD WHEN THIS HAPPENS-
-
ID VERIFICATION (exactly what you think it is, a picture of you holding your ID”
-
FACIAL AGE ESTIMATION
THIS IS WHAT DISCORD SAYS ABOUT THIS OPTION “ You will be prompted to record a short video selfie of your face. The Facial Age Estimation technology runs entirely on your device in real time when you are performing the verification. That means that facial scans never leave your device, and Discord and vendors (the people who do the ID verification) never receive it. We only get your age group. ”
I WANTED TO PUT THIS OUT THERE SO YALL ARE PREPARED.
