DayZ 1.29 Update: Server Offline & Possible Wipe
Summary
UltimateDayZPVE will be locked and taken offline at tomorrow's 6:00 AM restart (GMT+2) for the DayZ 1.29 update. Admin will assess what breaks and what can be salvaged; downtime may be about a day but could be longer while mods update. If a full wipe is required it is targeted for April 23-24 with a temporary Fun Mode once stable.

Some of you may have already seen it already, but DayZ is releasing update 1.29 tomorrow.
DayZ is recommending a FULL wipe, but my goal is to postpone that by roughly 2 weeks if possible.
Starting from tomorrow’s 6:00 AM restart (GMT+2 / EU Summer Time) April 08, 2025 04:00 AM, I will be locking the server and taking it offline.
Once the update is live, I’ll do my best to assess what has broken, what still works, and what can be salvaged after this major DayZ update.
If all goes well, the server may only be offline for about a day. However, I expect it could take longer, as many mod creators will first need to update their mods as well.
If things do not go well and I’m forced to wipe, then the plan will be the following:
Once the server is stable on update 1.29, it will go live again in a temporary “Fun Mode.” During that period, players will be free to explore and enjoy whatever they want.
Right now, I’m aiming for a FULL wipe on April 23rd or 24th, together with the larger updates and changes.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but DayZ does what DayZ wants, and all I can do is try to make the situation as enjoyable as possible for everyone.
My hands are fairly tied while I’m here in the States instead of back home in the Netherlands, so I appreciate your patience and understanding.
