Why Can't I Select India for My .it Domain? | Hostinger
Summary
This Hostinger announcement clarifies why the India country option is unavailable when registering .it domains, citing specific EEA residency requirements. It guides users toward .in domains as a suitable alternative and advises those who have already purchased a restricted domain to contact support via hPanel. This information is essential for community members navigating domain registration policies and refund limitations.
set up my domain
Hey! This one comes from the .it registry itself, not a bug. .it domains can only be registered by people living in (or companies based in) the EEA, Vatican City, San Marino or Switzerland, so India doesn't show up in that list. Details here: .it requirements
If you're based in India, .in is usually the way to go: .in requirements
Since you already bought dremora.it, I'd reach out to support through Ask AI in hPanel so they can look at your options. Just a heads-up, the public refund policy lists .it as non-refundable.
Do you or your company happen to have an address in one of those countries?
