How to Install Chimera v1.0 for Halo CE | A Fraternity

- First, go to the official Chimera repository:
https://github.com/SnowyMouse/chimera/releases

• Download the latest version (In the attached second image there are 2 versions, the one underlined in green works on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11 and the one underlined in orange works only on Windows XP).

• Before continuing with the installation of Chimera, verify that you have version 1.10 of Halo CE. If you have an earlier version, Chimera will not work.

• Create a backup copy of the game's Strings.dll file, or you can also rename it to "strings-old.dll."

• Once the file is downloaded, you will extract it (If you do not have the means to extract the file, I recommend that you download 7-zip https://www.7-zip.org/download.html), when it finishes extracting it will leave you a folder called Chimera which you will enter.

• Copy and paste the strings.dll, chimera.ini, and fonts files into the game folder.

• Optionally, you can create a folder called mods if you plan to use badges, use Discord's richpresence, etc.

• NOTE: Each file goes into the main game folder, NOT the controls folder. If you place the files in the controls folder, it won't work.

• If you followed the steps correctly, Chimera should already be fully operational (if not, you may have an outdated Halo, an old version of Chimera, or you have Hac2 installed, which is not compatible with Chimera).
