Happy 9th Anniversary to my amazing wife, Lucy!

Nine years ago, God blessed me with a woman who has become so much more than just my wife. She is my best friend, my partner, an incredible mother, and one of the greatest blessings God has placed in my life.

When I think about Lucy, Proverbs 31:10 comes to mind: “An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.” After nine years of marriage, I understand those words more than ever.

She loves deeply, serves others without needing recognition, works hard for our family, and has stood beside me through every season God has brought us through. She encourages me when I’m discouraged, challenges me when I need it, and somehow continues to love me through all my imperfections.

Proverbs 31:28–29 says, “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’”

So today, I want to do that for her. Raise her up as her husband and praise the amazing woman she is!

Lucy, I want everyone to know how thankful I am for you. I’m proud to call you my wife, and I thank God for the woman you are. Our marriage has had mountaintops and valleys, but through every one of them, God has remained faithful and you have remained beside me.

“Two are better than one… For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.” - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

“Iron sharpens iron, as one person sharpens another” - Proverbs 27:17

Nine years down, and Lord willing, a lifetime still to go. I pray our marriage continues to point back to Christ and that we never forget that He is the foundation holding it all together.
