Age Of Cenozoic Server Feedback Update
Join CommunitySummary
Age Of Cenozoic announces community feedback changes covering moderation reforms with an 18+ requirement and demotions, upcoming moderator applications, texture overhauls toward realism, lighting and map updates, Roblox water limits, added rocks, and roster adjustments with scientific advisors to ensure accurate animals. This matters to the community because it improves moderation, visuals, and research-backed creature design.
SERVER FEEDBACK
Thank you for the dozens of responses! We've read through each response carefully, and we want to see your insight on this.
Moderation
Many of you guys mentioned that the moderation team isn't the best or "as good as gold." Therefore, many inactive moderators will be demoted, and moderation applications will be available soon. The requirement has changed to 18+ for moderators, but we are more than happy to make exceptions if your application was very good.
Textures
To my surprise, a lot of you didn't like the textures! Many of you didn't specify or simply said "Trees," but that doesn't provide much information. We will try to use more realistic models from now on.
Map, colouring, and lighting.
A few of you guys panicked, thinking the images in development were the final lighting of the game. The lighting will be different lol! Not everything will be gloomy; that was just me fiddling with storm lighting settings.
Someone mentioned water, and unfortunately, we will have to stick to Roblox's water.
And like 4 of you mentioned rocks. So we'll definitely try to implement more rocks as we go through development!
Us.
Yep, Ticky and I.
There have been some complaints about us and our attitude toward each other, and rightfully so. However, with us both having a final decision, it is expected that we have our quarrels and things we disagree with. However, we will both keep a professional manner around the server, and we promise from now on that the things we disagree with will stay private.
Roster
As mentioned, the roster can be changed, and it isn't really official. Someone said that the animals in the game are just selected and common animals among other games, but this is just not true. We have scientific advisors (oh, btw, we do need some, so DM me if you want to apply) to ensure that the animals are accurate.
We will have more unique animals, such as glyptodons, giant sloths, and alligators. Alongside just more common ones like Smilodon fatalis, dire wolves, and (Scotts') horses.
There has been some debate about bringing marine animals like manatees. But there won't be a lot of water accessible to these creatures on the map, since the sea levels were quite low then. But it's still a possibility!
Game mechanics
The game is still rather early in development, so many of the techniques mentioned will not be fully fleshed out until we're at an appropriate state to do so. We're also in desperate need of a scripter; this has halted a lot of progress within the game.
Also, we do not have a lot of funds; things like these can be quite hefty in price!
Anyway, that's it for today. I hope you feel heard, and we will try our best to improve!
