Our current modelers have already got a lot of tasks, and to lower the stress we would like some more modelers to help out.

There is a few things I would like to discuss!

1. Developers
Welcoming our newest developers:
@Extinctions (@God_ofroblox03) - map developer
@0xpy4 - Lead coder, lead developer
@𝑅𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑜𝓂𝒜𝓁𝓁𝑜𝓈𝒶𝓊𝓇𝓊𝓈 - Texture artist, rigger, modeler

Because of this, we are now targeting a release window toward the end of the year. We won't be sharing a specific date just yet, as we want to avoid any disappointment if timelines shift, but we are well on our way.

Although we are getting a lot of developers, we could do with a few more - specifically ones who specialise with:
- Animating
- Rigging/weight-painting
- Modelers
- Texture artists (Must use Substance Painter only; Procreate workflow is not accepted)

2. More release date information

To help manage expectations for launch day, please keep the following key details in mind:
- The game will launch with 2–3 playable animals (excluding NPCs).
- Realism servers will remain closed for the first few weeks so we can focus on fixing initial launch bugs.
- Early access will cost ** 50 robux within the first 2 days. After 48 hours, the price will double ( 100)**
- Just because the game is still in early access, does NOT mean we will not stop moderating any behaviour. Our community rules still apply. In-game moderation will be fully active.
- Severe toxic behaviour or rule-breaking on Discord will result in a permanent ban from the game.

REMINDER: This is assuming nothing will go terribly wrong.

AoC is growing up

Hello. Due to the increasing joins recently, AoC will officially provide more "professional" announcements, development blogs, and moderator responses.

What does this mean?
- Our staff team will maintain a strictly professional and mature tone. This applies especially to public, read-only channels such as #┃animal-development , #┃development-blogs , #┃announcements , and #┃minor-announcements .

• With several talented new additions joining our development team, we are going to work faster.

• Welcome @0xpy4 & @𝑅𝒶𝓃𝒹𝑜𝓂𝒜𝓁𝓁𝑜𝓈𝒶𝓊𝓇𝓊𝓈

• We will actively review, listen to, and implement community suggestions and feedback.

• We will keep you informed by setting clear timelines, including specific release dates for upcoming development blogs. (in #┃ping-board )

• To respect your notifications, we are limiting standard pings to a weekly basis instead of daily disruptions.

• Future announcements will feature cleaner formatting and more mature wording for better readability. - this makes us look more mature as a team.

We are becoming a bigger studio currently, and the current announcement/development format is not exactly professional, or clean.
Rules will now be enforced properly.

AoC will always be a family-friendly place, and so we have banned swearing completely (A word that has been moderated a few times is the word "Damn".
- # Damn historically means to condemn a persons soul - it is a mild swear word but can still be offensive

I hope you can all understand why we are going down this route.

I apologise, this is the last ping today.

We are SO close to 1k members. I do not know how many times I need to say it, but it is CRUCIAL that you join atleast the roblox group before we hit 1k members. By doing so, you will receive realism access without applying

That being said, I have calculated that if everyone in the server invites 1 friend, we would be at 1,820 members
It would be AMAZING to see us reach 1,000 by the time I wake up.. (this is me saying invite your friends whilst you can before the realism access role is closed to the public, and locked behind an application)

BUT this is really important, regarding Realism Access.

Recently, I said everyone under 1,000 members will get realism access for free if they join the group, and verify in #┃bot•cmnds **
It has came to my attention that only 150 people are in the group, and only 55** out of that 150 have verified in bot commands.

This ping is a chance for you to get it for free - if you do not get it now, you will have to apply for the role in the future which will take a lot of time to write.

I would like to cover some things that have been posted recently.

*Firstly, the roster issue.*

We were originally going to have a very simple roster. The roster included animals such as Smilodon fatalis, dire wolf, North American river otter, American alligator, American crocodile, ancient bison, flat-headed peccary, Scotti horse, and white-tailed deer.

Recently, though, the roster has become an area where players from Ecos seem to find similarities with their game. Whilst I totally agree with that, there are only so many animals we can add. Having an animal that another game has allows us to get a clearer picture of how the same platform could play with that animal.

Now, I have been exaggerating a little (https://discord.com/channels/1371061753097748510/1371062538246164562/1529416262592106677) and saying things like, "This animal is scrapped" or "Ecos has it, so we cannot have it," and that is completely my fault.

The roster was never actually official, to say the least.

*The clashing games issue.
When creating a game, you are most likely going to clash concepts with another game. Take The Isle, for instance. For a while now, it has been compared to Path of Titans, or even Beasts of Bermuda.
Each of these games is unique in its own way. If you separate those concepts and look at them individually, you will realise that these games are aiming for two different things.
The reason this links to AoC* is because we are taking a completely different path from what Ecos has. We are taking the realism route!
Because of this, I want to gather some opinions for the realism servers!

Do you want there to be set profiles for each animal, explaining what they do, what they flee from, how many x it takes for them to hunt a y, and so on?

Green Agate
Green agate is a semi-precious variety of chalcedony, which is a mineral belonging to the microcrystalline quartz family. It is highly recognised for its beautiful translucent to opaque green shades, distinct colour banding, and durable nature.

In-game, users will be able to spend these agates on stuff like skins, reviving a slot, or even buying new animals (if that is a feature we end up with).

I just wanted to take a moment to say how incredibly proud I am of all of us. Back on day one, I honestly had no intention of making this game as popular as it’s becoming. It is so clear that you guys genuinely love the idea of this, and I appreciate every single one of you for that. Watching a personal passion project of mine turn into a passion project for all of you is easily the coolest feeling in the world. (And your boosting my ego /sarcastic)

This is by far the biggest project I’ve ever managed, and I really want to shout out the players who have stuck with me for over 4 years now. From Leopards Destiny to Younger Dryas Survival, Frozen Frontier, Crimstone Valley, and now AoC; those of you who have been around since the beginning deserve serious praise. Thank you for sticking around, even through any past drama or bumps in the road. It means everything.

Recently, we have had a LOT of new players joining. I would like to thank you all for doing what you have done to contribute to this - we have seen a 46.9% incline in joins recently. That's A LOT!
Please keep it up! I know it’s a lot to ask, but seeing the community grow like this gives the dev team a massive burst of motivation to keep building. One day, I really hope to jump onto a stage channel, tag everyone and type out: "The game is releasing in ___ hours!!!!!". Being able to do that for you guys would be an absolute dream come true.
