It looks like you're asking about phishing! Since you used a command-style prefix, I'll jump straight into a concise explanation for you.
Phishing is a type of social engineering attack where a scammer disguises themselves as a trustworthy entity (like a bank, a popular service, or even a colleague) to trick you into revealing sensitive information.
Common goals of phishing:
* Stealing Credentials: Getting your usernames and passwords.
* Financial Theft: Tricking you into providing credit card numbers or bank details.
* Malware Distribution: Getting you to click a link or download an attachment that installs malicious software on your device.
How to spot it:
* Urgency: They often use threatening language (e.g., "Your account will be deleted in 24 hours!").
* Suspicious Links/Senders: The email address might look almost right, but has a tiny typo, or the link URL doesn't match the official website.
* Generic Greetings: Instead of your name, they might use "Dear Valued Customer."
