Make Democracy Convenient: Movement Update

Summary

On All or Everything the announcement revives the movement and shares a political piece arguing participation, not representation, is core to democracy. It urges making participation convenient, meaningful, rewarded, respected and integrated and calls to implement democracy where civic control is lacking.

went silent here while I went on some side quests, but now the movement is waking back up here.

Enjoy my latest piece of political work:

In a political system

If you can not participate in its control
To the degree that it controls your outcomes

You do not live in a democracy

Representation is not rule.

Participation is the only active form of democratic function

Inactive democratic function never takes effect.

Just because participation is kept inconvenient now
Does not mean that participation in the system is fundamentally inconvenient.

This is where even most formal literature misses the point.

We already participate in the system.

The question is not whether we can.

It is whether that participation becomes

Convenient + Meaningful + Rewarded + Respected + Integrated

And in places where it is not

Can the vacuum of democracy be justified by the presence of greater
Competence,
Integrity,
Context,
or Incentive Structure
outside civic control?

If not,
Implement Democracy ~+> Make it Convenient ~+> Communicate its Relevence ~+> Reward Participation ~+> Respect Input ~+> Integrate Results
No questions asked.
