Guess my word FFA

One player is the speaker. If you are not the speaker, you must send words in the chat of the โ€œEvery Player for Themselvesโ€ mode (one message per word). The faster you guess correctly, the more points you earn. At the end of the game, the player with the highest total score wins.

How the Game Works
- Players take turns being the speaker for one minute (60 seconds), and the goal is to make the other players guess as many words as possible during that time.
- For each word, the speaker has a maximum of 15 seconds.
- Each player becomes the speaker twice before the game ends.
- Between speaking turns, the room administrator clicks โ€œStartโ€ to begin the next round.
- The game ends once every player has been the speaker twice.

REDACTIONARY

๐Ÿ’ฃ Redactle / Redactionary Rules

OH NO!

Your partner found a BOMB and only you know the secret word to disarm it!

๐Ÿ‘ค You (the Encoder) need to write a description of the word so that they (the Decoder) can guess what it is!

โš ๏ธ But Be Careful

Don't be too obvious describing your word, because when your description comes up, all other players (besides the Decoder) will be SABOTEURS, who will be submitting a list of words that they'll predict you used.

All words correctly predicted will be REDACTED from your description when it's revealed to the Decoder.

๐Ÿ’ก ENCODERS: BE UNPREDICTABLE

For example, if your word were CAT...

โŒ Avoid writing obvious sentences like:

"This is a furry animal that meows and purrs."

  • Try something like:

"These domesticated creatures are sometimes jerks who knock cups off your desk."

๐ŸŽฏ Goal

  • The Encoder writes a description of the secret word.
  • The Decoder tries to guess the word from that description.
  • The Saboteurs try to predict words that appear in the description.
  • Any correctly predicted words get REDACTED before the Decoder sees the clue.
  • The Encoder must be creative enough that the Decoder understands the clue while the Saboteurs cannot easily predict the wording.

๐Ÿ† Winning Strategy

For Encoders

  • Think of behaviors, situations, stereotypes, or indirect characteristics.
  • Avoid obvious synonyms and common descriptive words.
  • Be specific without being predictable.

For Decoders

  • Look for context and implied meaning.
  • Consider what words may have been redacted.
  • Focus on the overall idea, not individual missing words.

For Saboteurs

  • Predict the most likely words the Encoder would use.
  • Think of common descriptions and obvious vocabulary.
  • The more words you correctly predict, the less information the Decoder receives.
