BASSIE:
Try to breathe
Be the Toon Easter needs
Be just like you
Eager grin
Endless bloom
Shine within
Bright as the moon
I’m striving
I’m dying to be beloved and belong
I’m flailing
I’m failing, or was I just built wrong?
Sorry I’m not perfect
I’m the way that they made me
A little shy, a little needy
A little too much in my head
Absolutely worthless is how I’ve been feeling lately
When my flowers reach for the shade, I’m not wilting
I’m just what they made, made
What they made, made
COCOA:
How can anyone not jump for joy
knowing that we’re bringing Spring to every girl and boy?
With pastel colored jelly beans
BASSIE:
Try to breathe
COCOA:
And chocolate bunny figurines
BASSIE:
Be the Toon
COCOA:
Can’t help but to sing I’m
BASSIE:
Easter needs
COCOA:
Tickled pink it’s springtime
BASSIE:
Be just like you
COCOA:
Skipping through the flowers
BASSIE:
Eager grin
COCOA:
Frolicking for hours
BASSIE:
Endless bloom
COCOA:
So many eggs for painting
BASSIE:
Shine within
COCOA:
No cause for complaining
BASSIE:
I’m nothing like you!
I’m sorry I’m not perfect
BOTH BASSIE AND COCOA:
I’m the way that they made me
BASSIE:
A little shy
COCOA:
Sunshine
BASSIE:
A little needy
A little too much in my head
COCOA:
Spring has come
BASSIE:
Absolutely worthless
COCOA: Whoa, yeah (Possibly not on screen text - agreed! -Sam)
BASSIE
Is how I’ve been feeling lately
When my flowers reach for the shade
I’m not wilting, I’m just what they made, made
COCOA:
I’m just what they made
BASSIE:
What they
BOTH COCOA AND BASSIE:
Made, made
TWISTED BASSIE:
You’ll be sorry
I’m not perfect
I’m the way that they made me
A little sad
A little angry
A little out of my mind
Get her! What? She deserves it!
Guess it’s too late to save me
Better run
Better get more afraid
If I’m twisted, guess that’s what they
made….
