Object Display v2 Launch in 1.68

Summary

The Upside announces Object Display v2 rolling out with the 1.68 release. The update introduces a stricter predictable model that improves indexing compatibility and developer ergonomics. Existing Display v1 configs will be auto migrated but v1 will be deprecated alongside JSON RPC so new work should adopt v2.

Object Display v2 is coming

With the 1.68 release, we’ll be rolling out Object Display v2, the system that defines how onchain objects are rendered and described offchain.

Display v2 introduces a stricter, more predictable model that improves indexing compatibility and developer ergonomics.

No action needed right now. Existing Display v1 configurations will be automatically migrated to v2. That said, since v1 will eventually be deprecated alongside JSON-RPC, we recommend adopting v2 in new work going forward.
