This is a PSA to let you all know of a reported vulnerability in Discord's AI moderation system that is becoming a big issue right now.
It seems that in order to fight against CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material), Discord is training their AI moderation model with any images they've been able to find. However, it seems that as a way to bypass the initial wave of bans, people that were sharing CSAM would overlay the images with a grid on top.
Due to Discord training their AI model with these edited images, it seems that a lot of accounts are being automatically banned for posting images with any grids or checkboard patterns in them (i.e. Google Sheets, chess boards, fake transparent backgrounds, game level editors, etc.). Therefore, we highly discourage you from posting any such images either in this server or anywhere else until the issue is resolved. Discord isn't particularly good at communicating these massive bugs in their system, so we don't know how long it may take until this dies down.
AGAIN, DO NOT POST ANY IMAGES CONTAINING GRIDS OR CHECK-BOARD PATTERNS!!!
If you have any extra information that you think is worth sharing, please let us know by DMing one of the staff here in the server. If you end up mistakenly posting an image like such and end up getting banned, get in contact with Discord Support. Sadly, there is nothing that we can do to help you in that case.
