Summary

This Pokémon Champions forum discussion centers on a user's attempt to build a competitive sun team, which they admit is struggling due to poor synergy, particularly with two Water-types included. The core of the team involves Scovillain and Leafeon under the sun, and the conversation shifts to optimizing item choices for Scovillain, with suggestions moving away from Rocky Helmet towards offensive items. The team's creator clarifies the team is primarily for fun, though they are open to feedback...

Hard to make a sun team with 2 water types

Reply

Happens ! Isn’t easy finding synergy

Reply

and just not very good mon

Reply

but the scovillian and leafeon combo work well

Reply

im trying to make a sun team with that core

Reply

Leafeon is a hard hitting mon. I gotta go to sleep talk in morning gorey

Reply

Sure you you later ig

Reply

You could give scovillian life orb or choice specs; i’d honestly

Reply

scovillan is my only sun setter (it being sunny day too) so it wants to be bulky and annoying

Reply

Yeah that’s fine, but the rockyH isn’t doing much. It only effects physical attackers, isn’t bulky enough to make the helmet useful

Reply

Would heat rock be better? Im also thinking covert cloak

Reply

I think an offensive item would be better

Reply

I do like the fact that this team had some good thought! If you want you can link more of your favorite pokemon and i can help you make a team that will probably work better!

I understand a lot of the move choices, and the item you have them. It’s a good team, but it just has some flaws. Are you making a team to battle with, or just trying to have fun? What’s the ultimate goal

Reply

It's really just supposed to be for fun, I have more teams for actually do win offen, but i do learn from this team and everyone on this team has appeared in a more serious team (Except duosion, I still have to fit it somewhere)

Reply

maybe give it the magic bounce ability for starters

Reply

It's extreemly bulky on both sides with eviolite (lvl 100 having 360 SPD) and i gain a lot out of regenorator

Reply

if i fit it on another team, it will probably be trick room with hatterene anyways

Reply

i’d also take half the HP EVs and give it some special attack, trade imprison for protect because u likely won’t be alive long enough for it to be effective

Reply

OR give it more defense.

Reply

It's really, really bulky. survives helping hand specs draco and elctrodrift if i tera to steel

Reply

is this for doubles?

Reply

yeah ofc

Reply

yeah lol

Reply

Well the problem is, 2 of your hitters get x2 speed in the sun. Which really makes TR a bad choice yk

Reply

I really want to switch that, it was put in for distruption

Reply

do you have a list of your favorite pokemon ?

Reply

like is scraggy specifically your favorite? or is the evolution line

Reply

Scraggy is specificly my favorite, and i refuse to put scrafty bc its kinda ugly but solosis is just a straight downgrade of duosion competitivly so i sqeezed that difference

Reply

gotchu

Reply

so idk who you were fighting, but Duo is not surviving a helping hands elctrodrift

Reply

Tera steel?

Reply

ah i didn’t see that one sec

Reply

yeah not surviving

Reply

even with -SpAtk nature it still dies

Reply

not saying it’s not a good mon, just the person you were fighting may just not have built mir correctly

Reply

wait hold up i need to try this in practice

Reply

*my bad i need to try this myself i swear it survived in practice
