Crabominable Team Help in The Crab Room

Hey all! Figured I’d share/ critique my crabominable team I’ve been playing so far! It’s gotten me up to mid ultra ball, though I’m hitting a roadblock there. It’s a really fun team though, just needs a bit of tweaking still!

Mon Gathering Service Pokémon Trades

If you have need of a pokemon and no one has been able to get you one, list it here for me. I am off work Monday and Tuesday and can collect a copy of the mons you need. I will not grind out floette eternal. Everything else I should be able to get a copy of. Once I have your Mon I will ping you so you can trade me for it.

Whimsicott is built to nuke rain/sand teams with energy ball. Worry seed turns off gimmick strategies like Perish trap/Entrain ohko, turns off things like gale wings/prankster/unburden/huge power, and can give its allies an immunity to sleep powder.

Glimmora is built to nuke snow/sun teams with power gem.

Lopunny deals with the steel types on rain and sand teams, nukes dark types that are immune to whimsicott's prankster, gives a fast encore that can hit dark types, and a fake out that can hit ghost types and deal upwards 30%hp.

Garchomp turns off the sand so it doesn't boost SPD against whimsicott, turns off whimsicott's fire weakness, turns off snow so it doesn't boost SPD against Lopunny, allows for ohko against 32hp 32+spd/def mons that otherwise survive whimsicott/glimmora/lopunny, and is another steel check like lopunny.

Mimikyu can reverse trick room ignoring fake out, taunt/encore, and an ohko.

Optimal EVs for Mamoswine VGC Hyperoffense

I've been testing this Mamoswine team and am getting good results. ATM am pondering what EV's would be optimal to face popular mons.
RN I just run most of them with max offense and either max HP or Speed. (Also the Delphox feels a bit awkward from time to time so any suggestions for replacements are welcome)

**So I am wondering: **
- If there are any speed thresholds I should aim for.
- If there are any attack thresholds I should aim for.
- Any suggestion to struggle less into Rotom wash.

**Basic ideas behind the team: **
- Aerodactil for tailwind + Rock slide
- Mamoswine with Earthquake spread (+ Prio ice vs garchomp, and Heavy slam vs Floette)
- Sneasler as fast fake out (To set up tailwind more reliably and chip mons into earthquake range)
- Delphox as fast spread damage in case Mamoswine has a bad machup, or fast Will O wisp support
- Hawlucha cuz its my fave mon (Also has Entrainment for the Vanilluxe/Aero/Delphox
- Vaniluxe with Sheer Cold + Huge power (So 1 speed point below max speed Hawlucha). Or Fast Blizzard cleanup against weather teams.
(Also boosts Mamoswine's defense)

Trick Room Team Help Pokémon VGC Tips

Hi everyone

Im pretty new to playing vgc seriously and am trying to make a trickroom team. This is what I got right now. But im debating between a few things. My strategy right now is starting with maushold and farigiraf using follow me to defend the farigiraf so i can do trickroom and then just using follow me with the maushold till it dies i usually have torkoal and azumarill in the back and use abomasnow when my enemy had a garchomp. The things im debating in is swapping the maushold for a klefki because of its prankster ability also im considering swapping in kingambit for drampa because drampa doesnt rlly do anything only o dont onow how to use kingambit. So do u have any tips.
Much thanks!! Sorry for so much text btw

Sand Box Suggestions Sandstorm Trick Room Help

The attached photos are my current team that I am hardstuck Ultra Ball 4 on right now. Overall I love playing sandstorm + trick room but I have some issues I would like help resolving.

  • Having three support Pokemon all holding healing items makes it feel like their support longevity is not being used properly.

  • Having three support Pokemon in general makes me feel like I don’t have enough firepower.

  • Mega Steelix I thought I saw potential in as a Trick Room threat, but I’ve been leaving it behind more and more as it just gets ignored or doesn’t have the right amount of bulk to survive even physical hits properly.

  • I tend to struggle against Archaludon, Mega Dragonite, Basculegion (Dual Dragon Rain).

Any and all advice would be appreciated! (I miss Gigalith…)

Broken Floette Snow Balance Team

https://pokepast.es/8b5252390aa8c311

I’ve been playing a little champions and figured I would put this here. Floette seemed pretty insane given the lack of good Steel-types in this metagame, and LoR OHKOing pretty much every neutral target in the tier due to the lack of AV or good fast Snarl users. Kommo-o has also been surprisingly effective, it likes all the support Floette does but has a completely opposite matchup chart. Kommo-o demolishes Steel-types and weather teams while Floette deals with… just about everything else (this pokemon is broken). On top of their synergy Kommo-o also gives you an extremely rare Sleep Powder immunity with Overcoat, making the Sun matchup relatively trivial.

Notes:
- Incineroar is meant to have Darkest Lariat for M-Delphox but the paste is outdated
- Kommo-o is Haban Berry for Archaludon specifically and not much else… what else are you gonna put on it?
- Ninetales is a surprisingly effective late game cleaner with fast Blizzard because of how low the power level is, don’t count it out
- Sinistcha lives Aerodactyl Dual Wingbeat and can Trick Room on it, though its mainly there to reverse opposing Trick Rooms

I think the team is solid, I’m just not great at piloting it. Feedback is fine but I’m mainly posting it so others can try it, its probably the most solid Floette six I’ve tried

Rain x Mega Starmie Team Breakdown

https://pokepast.es/49a46a615e97b9da

Pelipper: Rain and Tailwind setter. Usually leading with Starmie. Sash almost guarantees I get off a Tailwind, Weather Ball + Hurricane for coverage. Considering putting Rain Dance on this to counter other weather setters but I'm not quite sure how to fit it in.

Archaludon: Physical wall, first line of defense after either Pelipper/Starmie go down to clean up. I feel like my set could be better but not sure how, oddly enough I feel like I never get to use my Electro Shot but I'm unsure about removing it.

Basculegion: Ideally end-game sweeper via Last Respects.

Starmie: Star of the show. I prefer Waterfall over the +5 BP from Liquidation, Starmie's usually outspeeding and that 20% flinch chance has helped numerous times. Other than Arch, everyone on the team can shield from Self-Destruct in one way or another, which is quite useful on Starmie's last turn. Speed EVs are specifically allocated to outspeed a max Speed investment Mega Charizard Y, and Waterfall still OHKOs it in sun.

Oranguru: Special wall, usually lead with him if I anticipate Pelipper/Starmie is a bad leading choice. Dual screens is still useful even without Light Clay. Instruct is an incredible pairing with Mega Starmie. Knock Off is kind of a throwaway? Probably would be more useful if there were more items. Maybe Protect should go here?

P. Tauros Aqua: Brand new to the team. Anti-Archaludon with CC, Anti-Aurora-Veil with Raging Bull, Intimidate support. Walls & 2HKOs Incineroar in Rain even after it gets Intimidated.

Things I'm struggling against:
- Sun teams, especially the Zard Y + Whimsicott core. Starmie can beat Zard Y unless Prankster Tailwind goes off, then I'm screwed.
- Incineroar, Intimidate just ruins my Starmie's fun and somehow on a team with 4 water types I'm struggling to kill it. First time playing VGC and not enjoying fighting this thing.
- Archaludon. Haven't faced one since adding Tauros to my team.

Help Building a Balanced Team - Pokémon Champions

i’m unsure of what team to use since i have zero Pokemon in my Pokemon Home, so i gotta rely on the Recruitment feature. thing is, my team building skills and synergistic knowledge are nonexistent. if anyone has any ideas, i’d gladly hear them out. i don’t want to throw all my VP and Quick Coupons away willy-nilly. i want to know what i’m looking for and stick to it.

Team Building Guide for New Players

  1. DOES ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MON HAVE PROTECT? IF NOT GO PUT IT ON.

  2. DID YOU INCLUDE SUPPORT MOVES AND POKEMON ON YOUR TEAM? IF NOT GO ADD TWO POKEMON FOR SUPPORTING MOVES

  3. HAVE YOU MADE A POST TO ASSIST YOU WITH TEAM BUILDING? IF THE ANSWER IS YES PLEASE POST SS OF YOUR TEAM WITH MOVES AND STATS, THEN EXPLAIN TO US WHAT EACH POKEMONS ROLE IS IN YOUR TEAM.

ONCE THIS IS DONE, SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO HELP YOU WILL POP IN WHEN THEY HAVE TIME. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK

Mega Charizard Y Sun Team Feedback

Aside from Charizard, Venusaur is the Leaf Green to his Fire Red. Sleep Powdering threats, sustaining with some sunny Synthesis, and it's an extra Solar Beam if I get the opportunity. Tools like Sylveon are there for Fairy coverage, whether it be single target or both, Garchomp/Gallade are around to be some extra physical precision with double STAB movelists plus Garchomp's Rock Slide incase I need it to blow through flyers who don't respect Equake, and Gallade has X-Scissor to lean into Sharpness and for him to have an advantage over his psychic affiliates. Finally, Incineroar is around as a physical support with Fake Out on his 1st turn, and Parting Shot incase I need a debuff means to bring back Charizard Y to reset the Weather Machine. I feel like I've got it figured out. I just request further refinement and feedback.
