Scrafty is the mega I want to bring to most matches (unless like 5 special attacking faries are on the other side.) double intimidate is good because it shuts off a lot of physical attackers from doing meaningful damage, and resists hits from kinghambit so i dont need to worry too much about the hairy-chair-guy? I invested some speed into scrafty since i want it to be able to work inside trick room and tailwind. I made the choice of not giving it protect since its naturally so bulky, drain punch heals it back up, and i found iron head usefull in a lot of matches. after even a single swords dance, scrafty becomes a nightmare to fight.
farig is the tr setter, made to be physically bulky so after the double intimidate i dont need to worry about physical damage (kinghambit shaped threat in the corner). it has sitirus berry isntead of the more common colbur because i just found it more useful. unboosted, i survive both hydregion dark pulse and kowtow kleave on really low hp, only to heal a bit back anyways. the moveset is standard, what you'd probably expect from a farig. come in, set up tr, psychic/helping hand a bit, leave.
Aerodactyl is my tailwind setter. If my opponent doesnt have tailwind, i bring him. I decided not to give it protect and instead wide guard because my number 1 proitiy with aerodactyl is NOT keeping it alive, and if my oppnent doubles the aerodactyl (and gets the KO), scrafty gets a free turn anyways. i felt wide guard is better because a lot of the bad matchups for scrafty are pokemon that print out spread damage, and most of the spread damage pokemon in this format are special attackers who cant be intimaidated by scracfty twice.
Gholdengo life orb make it rain + nasty plot go brr. its good into the fairies scrafty hates.

Kinghambit is my other Tr mon when i havee Tr up. its a swords dance black glasses set because if my opponent give it even a single free turn, they pretty much lose on the spot. it's also what you'd expect from a kinghambit set, Kowtow, sucker punch, swords dance, protect. It's my only priority user on this team since i chose iron head over fake out on scrafty, and is probably my no. 1 clean up mon to bring out late game.
Metagross is the mega i bring out when the opposing team absolutly HATES scrafty. it's hits the fighting and fairy pokemon scrafty doesnt want to face and it resists flying. I have stomping tantrum over body press because raichu Y can be a huge problem for this team, since it hits almost everything I have for super effective.
The hardest matchup I have are Zard Y fairy+glimorra teams (usually gets checked by aerodactyl but if it goes down things get difficult) the combo of zard y and floette makes it a hard descion on which mega to bring and ultimantly makes this a lot harder if i bring the wrong one

Yeah
i work so hard on them lol
Honestly I really like the idea of the team. It doesn’t feel random at all. It feels like a dual-speed Scrafty team where you can either play under Trick Room with Farigiraf, or go faster with Aerodactyl Tailwind.
The main thing I’d clean up is that the team is a little too greedy right now. Scrafty has Swords Dance, Gholdengo has Nasty Plot, and Kingambit also has Swords Dance. That is a lot of setup, but you don’t have Fake Out or redirection to always make those turns safe.
The changes I’d make are:
- Put Protect on Scrafty over Iron Head.
I get why Iron Head feels useful, but Scrafty is your main Mega and main win condition. Once it gets scary, people are going to double it, burn it, or stall your speed control. Protect helps way more long-term. - Keep Swords Dance on Scrafty.
That’s the move that actually makes Scrafty scary. I wouldn’t remove it. I’d just pair it with Protect so Scrafty can actually survive after boosting. - Don’t make Scrafty your Fairy answer.
You already have Gholdengo, Metagross, and Kingambit for that. Scrafty should focus on Knock Off, Drain Punch, setting up, and being annoying to remove. - Aerodactyl should probably run Taunt over Dual Wingbeat.
This gives you a much better Trick Room answer, especially into Farigiraf. Since it isn’t Prankster Taunt, Armor Tail doesn’t block it. - Definitely keep Wide Guard on Aerodactyl.
That move is huge here. Scrafty can handle physical attackers pretty well after Intimidate, but special spread moves like Heat Wave, Hyper Voice, Make It Rain, Eruption, and Blizzard are much scarier. - Kingambit should probably drop Swords Dance for Iron Head.
The team already has enough setup. Kingambit is better here as a slow immediate attacker, especially under Trick Room. Iron Head also gives you another clean Fairy hit. - I’d test Iron Head over Meteor Mash on Metagross.
Meteor Mash has higher upside, but missing your Steel move in a serious game feels awful. Iron Head is just more consistent. - Be careful with double Intimidate into opposing Kingambit.
The idea is good into most physical attackers, but Defiant Kingambit can punish that really hard. Scrafty resists Dark, but giving Kingambit free boosts can still make the board messy. - Use Trick Room as a tool, not something you click every game.
Because Scrafty has Speed investment, it isn’t a full hard Trick Room sweeper. Trick Room is best into fast teams or Tailwind teams. Into actual slow Trick Room teams, you might not want to set it. - Only try to set up one win condition per game.
Some games are Scrafty games. Some games are Gholdengo games. Some games are Kingambit endgames. Trying to boost all of them in one game is usually too much.
Overall, I think the team is genuinely cool. I’d just make it a bit less greedy. Protect Scrafty, Taunt Aerodactyl, and immediate-pressure Kingambit probably make the team way more consistent without changing the identity.
i did mention about some of this. scrafty is just so bulky and heals back up anyways so iron head (or any other of it's massive coverage) just workes well on it, kinda like kanghaskan. i have enough steel on the team so ill keep my black glasses set, and is this the same sneasler terrified Wahhhh I know? dual wingbeat is my sneasler answer when not bringing farig. i might try iron head over metor mash, and i already only usually set up swords dance right away on scrafty and mabye later if it's obvious they'll give me a free turn
Hope it helps. The teams quite good
i just opened my youtube page and it turns out im not the only one trying scrafty at the current moment
