Do you ever wonder to yourself: What’s the point of being in a world so dark, so dull, and so remarkably… pernicious.
When you choose to be ignorant, your life is blissful. But that doesn’t stop that inevitable storm. As they say: the calm before the storm. That idiom describes our life perfectly.
You sit at home, doing absolutely nothing to contribute to Mother Earth. Consistently watching — you have no choice to witness the horrors that constantly occur within our timeline. Knowing that our rulers- who, let me remind you, are people who have the ability to change our lives- are corrupted, immoral people who do not care about you, whatsoever. You, to them, are merely one of the ants that’ll get caught in a piercing arrow of sunlight that which they have caused using their magnifiers.
And to those that blindly follow them like an endless death spiral, they’ll hardly look your way. You may choose to sympathize with them, foolishly believe their false truths, and continue to stuff their false self righteousness into their children and grandchildren and so fourth down generations… but at the end, you are exactly what they want. You are the exact victim where they’ll continue to groom and mold into a perfect template for future generations.
And the worst part is, it is not just one side. Every side are inclined to believe they’re right and everyone else is wrong. That they are the hero in the story despite them turning a blind eye to genuine harm.
And you can’t even be in the middle, you can’t just choose none. Because you’ll be an outcast and all sides — and anyone who follows— will bash you until you’re forced to leave the world.
Because you’ll find out quickly, the looming shadows with piercing eyes… no matter what friends you make, no matter what media you consume, no matter what you do… you. Are. Ultimately alone.
And what’ll kill you first?
The eventual heat death of the universe? A natural disaster of Earth’s way of revenge? An intentional virus meant to control population? Choosing to rot and suffocate on the fat you eat everyday and do nothing but sit on your ass as you continue to physically grow but not your brain? Blissfully ignorant and with a lover next to you while knowing your children are going through the future’s cruelest entertainment?
You lay on the ground, staring into the night of the endless void… the thousands of stars that twinkle and shine, casting a nice moonlight over, like a soft blanket to comfort you. But you realize the stars before you have been long since burned out and dead. Like people’s dreams, goals, plans, and lives which were undeservedly snuffed out like candles who couldn’t finish melting all the way.
You wonder when it’ll be your time to shine, you wonder when it’ll be your turn, when will you finally get your recognition? When will the hate stop churning and knotting in your never ending stomach? When will my emptiness be quenched— It is a single missing puzzle piece from a picture that was destined to remain forever incomplete.
