Pear Community Evolution: New Contributor Tiering System
Summary
The Pear server is evolving its contributor program to drive higher value and reduce spam. This update introduces a new prestige ladder featuring Elite and Alpha contributor tiers, designed to reward high-impact social marketing and strategic insights. By implementing these exclusive roles, Pear aims to foster a more engaged community while maintaining the integrity of its ecosystem.
Hi Team, to elevate our current 'Contributor' role and drive massive value without community backlash, here is a compact blueprint for a premium tiering system:
Pear’s Premium Tiers: Shifting from Spam to Value
Tier 1: Contributor (Existing)
- Kept as it is to maintain baseline engagement and community peace.
Tier 2: Elite Contributor (The Brand Amplifiers)
- Focus: Social marketing and community morale.
- Tasks: Creating high-engagement X threads/memes or hosting unofficial community events.
- Selection: Top 15 handpicked in Week 1, cutting in half weekly (15, 7, 3 slots) to maximize FOMO and scarcity.
Tier 3: Alpha Contributor (The Strategic Brains)
- Focus: Market intelligence and ecosystem growth.
- Tasks: Providing deep competitor analysis, actionable partnership ideas, or economic feedback.
- Selection: Highest inner-circle role. Strictly granted by founders to Elite members who deliver top strategic insights (Hard cap: 20-30 slots total).
Why it works: It stops bot spam and gives members a clear prestige ladder. The team gets free marketing from the Elites and high-level insights from the Alphas.
humm interesting mate🥂
Cheers! Hopefully the team finds it useful to protect the prestige of our Contributor role.
hop bro🥂
Twitter task completion problem
How did that happen? It went smoothly for me; perhaps you need to pay closer attention to the instructions to avoid such issues. Could you explain the specific difficulties you encountered while completing that Twitter task?
I see an increasing number of contributor roles; I think the team should consider this so that the ecosystem can improve and grow.
btw, the contributor role is strictly a technical thing, it is not a speical role, it is a logistical role that says that you as a user gives us permissions to publish your thread content on Discord to pear's server listing page. but yeah, hearing you on the special roles, those are all great ideas
Yes, Miss; since there is no "OG" role, I am using the "Contributor" role approach to maintain the users' prestige
Hello
ah i see the misunderstanding, for us, contributor is strictly a technical role
