||# Patriot Day!||
Patriot Day (also known as 9/11) took place in New York. To be more specific, at the World Trade Center— at the twin towers which were known as the North Tower and South Tower. At around 8:45 A.M EDT on September 11, 2001, a plane had crashed into the N.T, floors 93-99. The buildings were both around 1,500 ft tall, both having 100+ floors.
The plane that had crashed into the N.T was hijacked by a group now known as Al Qaeda. The person who had approved of this terrorist atatck was Osama bin Laden. He and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed had a total of 19 hijackers along with them.
Many people were frightened and horrified at the sudden attack. Some people who were on the higher floor levels chose to jump out the building despite being so high up rather than burn in the flames that were summonded from the planes. There were a total of 2,977 lives, almost 3,000 people had died this very day 25 years ago.
The people responsible for this attack did get caught, and got the proper punishments for their actions. Despite their punishments serving them justice, it wont ever bring back the people’s lives that were lost in the attack.
