A roaring global epicenter of iconic skylines and ceaseless momentum, where cultures, industries, and boundless dreams collide on every avenue. New York City is a living legend watched over by the Justice Society and titans like Power Girl and the Flash, a hub of limitless possibility where street-level crime and cosmic threats regularly test the bedrock of the metropolis. Its millions of residents hustle tirelessly, rebuild with unshakeable pride, and wear their resilience like armor, knowing that no disaster can ever dim the neon pulse of the five boroughs. Central to its spirit is the undeniable truth that anyone can carve their destiny where tenacity and ambition never sleep.
A place of glamour, ambition and spotlight, Hollywood dazzles with promise even as shadows linger behind the cameras. Its streets teem with dreamers and schemers alike, where fame and fortune are pursued at any cost and scandals ripple through its neighborhoods. Beneath the glittering premieres and iconic signs, ambition collides with danger.
A Midwestern city marked by the Big Bang, a massive gang riot that saw the use of tear gas laced with Quantum Juice, selectively imbuing some of the city's populace with superpowers, turning them into Bang Babies. Now, heroes like Static patrol its neighborhoods, striving to keep both powered and ordinary citizens safe.
A coastal city of ambitions and shadow, Star City is defined by both its promise and peril. Once a bustling hub of commerce and culture, it has endured corruption, organised crime and superhuman threats, drawing heroes like Green Arrow and Black Canary to its streets. From abandoned warehouses to high-rise towers, danger lurks in every corner, yet the city continues to persist, rebuilt time and again by those who refuse to let fear define it.
The beating heart of the Midwest, Central City is home of the Flash, where science, technological progress and impossible speed shapes daily life. Its streets are cleaner, its people more hopeful, but yet danger always lurks below the surface, from the occasional rogue speedster, or a mastermind ready to strike. From the cunning of Flash's very own Rogues Gallery, to the chaos of Gorilla Grodd, the threats are constant but never insurmountable. Central City survives by moving forward, trusting that as long as someone is fast enough to respond, the city will never truly fall behind.
A quiet, coastal town on the surface, carefully curated and deceptively serene. Happy Harbor is a place of trimmed lawns, polite smiles and a shoreline that hides more than it reveals. Known to a few as a nexus for heroes such as The Team and the Justice League of America, it has long served as an anchor point for extraordinary activity, its significance obscured by its charm.
A wild, untamed expanse where nature has reclaimed its dominion, and humanity is little more than an intruder. The Savage Land, or Dinosaur Island, is home to prehistoric beats, towering predators, and gorgeous ecosystems untouched by time, yet has drawn the unwanted attention of scientists, explorers and opportunists alike. Heroes and anti-heroes, from Ka-Zar to the X-Men, navigate the island's jungles and cliffs, facing dangers both ancient and engineered, where survival depends on instinct as much as courage.
A sovereign island rising from the seas, Krakoa is a sanctuary and stronghold for mutants, a place where survival, power and identity converge. Lush and alive, its terrain is both a refuge and a fortress, teeming with dangers that on only its inhabitants can fully understand. From the halls of the Quiet Council to the jungles that conceal its secrets, heroes and leaders like Professor X, Magneto and the X-Men shape the fate of a nation reborn. Krakoa thrives on unity and vigilance, a living testament that survival is strongest when a people rise together.
A hidden city perched above the clouds, Attilan is the ancestral home of the Inhuman people, a place of ritual, innovation, and rigid hierarchy. Its spires and terraces gleam with advanced technology, yet beneath the surface, intrigue, ambition and the weight of tradition shape every decision. Heroes and rulers, from Black Bolt to Medusa, balance the needs of their people against threats both internal and external, ensuring that Attilan endures.
An island shrouded in mystery and legend, Themyscira is a paradise of strength and beauty. Home to the Amazons and ruled by Queen Hippolyta, it is a land where warriors are trained from birth, and the outside world is a distant echo.
A shadowed refuge beyond the bounds of ordinary reality, the Oblivion Bar exists in a pocket dimension, with portals scattered across the world. Invisible to those without magical proficiencies, it serves as the headquarters of the Shadowpact, a place where magic and secrecy converge into a cosy bar. Within its walls, any conflict is forbidden, allowing weary heroes, sorcerers, and otherworldly beings to rest without threat.
A cornerstone of the city's youth and ambition, Metropolis High School is a place where potential is nurtured amid the fast pace of a city that never slows down. Its halls are filled with students shaped by optimism, competition, and the constant presence of something greater watching over their skyline. While ordinary on the surface, the school has quietly stood at the crossroads of pivotal moments, its students learning resilience as much as academics. Home to some of Gotham's criminally insane, Arkham Asylum stands on the outskirts of Gotham as both a hospital and a holding pen for the city's most dangerous criminals. Its sterile corridors breathe with whispers, its cells cradle minds broken beyond repair, and its walls seem to remember every shattered scream they've ever contained. What was built as a sanctuary for the unwell has become a mausoleum of sanity, where treatment blurs into torment, and confinement offers only the illusion of control. Between its overworked staff, compromised doctors and corrupt guards, Arkham stands as Gotham's greatest lie: that madness can be caged, that monsters can be cured, and that corruption could never reach monuments of rehabilitation and confinement.
A beacon of progress and academic excellence, Metropolis University stands at the forefront of innovation, science, and journalism. Its modern campuses and research centers reflect the city's forward-looking spirit, attracting brilliant minds eager to shape a better future. While challenges and dangers are never far in a city of such ambition, the university endures as a place of optimism, resilience, and discovery.
***An ageing institution of higher learning steeped in prestige and quiet decay, Gotham University stands as a reflection of the city it serves. Its lecture halls and research buildings promise advancement and opportunity, even as corruption and danger linger in the dark corners of its city. Long tied to Gotham's elite and its darker histories, the university has been both a place of innovation and a recurring crossroads for tragedy. ***
