💡 Bleed Suggestions System

Bleed’s Suggestions system allows members to submit ideas for improving the server while giving staff tools to review, respond to, approve, deny, and track those suggestions.

The system can also use review queues, discussion threads, custom reactions, and member restrictions.

Configuration should remain Owner-only, while selected suggestion-status commands may be available to trusted Custodians.

💡 Member Suggestions

Allows a member to submit an idea or feature request.

Permission: None

Suggestions should focus on constructive improvements to the community, server features, events, channels, or systems.

🏛️ Configure the System

Sets the channel where new suggestions are posted.

Displays the current suggestion configuration.

,suggest reactions [upvote] [downvote]

Sets the reactions used for community voting.

,suggest threads [setting]

Controls whether a discussion thread is created with each suggestion.

👁️ Review Before Publication

,suggest review [setting]

Enables or disables review before suggestions appear publicly.

,suggest review channel [channel]

Sets the private channel where suggestions await approval.

For Holme, I recommend enabling review if you want to prevent trolling, inappropriate suggestions, or personal complaints from immediately becoming public.

📜 Suggestion Status

Trusted staff may use:

Marks a suggestion In Consideration.

,suggest progress [id]

Marks it In Progress.

,suggest approve [id]

Marks it Approved.

,suggest deny [id]

Marks it Denied.

,suggest reset [id]

Returns it to Pending.

Adds an official staff response.

🚫 Restrict Suggestions

,suggest ignore [member or role]

Prevents a member or role from submitting suggestions.

,suggest ignore list

Shows currently ignored members or roles.

Use this only for abuse of the suggestion system—not because someone repeatedly proposes ideas you dislike.

🔒 Disable or Restore Suggestions

,suggest lock

Disables the suggestion system.

,suggest unlock

Re-enables it.

Useful during maintenance or if the system temporarily becomes overwhelmed.

⚖️ Laws of Suggestions

• Judge ideas by merit, not popularity alone.
• Do not punish members for respectfully criticizing the server.
• Denied suggestions should receive a clear reason when practical.
• Do not allow suggestions to become public callout posts.
• Personal reports belong in tickets, not suggestions.
• Voting does not guarantee implementation.
• Staff should never manipulate reactions to manufacture support.

🏛️ Owner Principle

Members may propose. Custodians may review. The Owner decides what becomes part of Holme.

💡 A good Archive remembers its traditions—but still leaves room for better ideas.
