In-game, you cannot automatically join groups or know their exact location. Individuals must be found naturally through movement, calls, scent, and observation, just as they would in the wild. Herds and bands are not pre-formed for you, and characters are expected to locate others on their own rather than being placed directly into social groups.

If you are alone, move toward realistic gathering points such as water sources, grazing areas, migration routes, or the direction of distant calls. Solitary wandering is normal at first, but prolonged isolation usually means your character should begin actively seeking herd activity rather than waiting.

Joining a band is gradual and based on behavior and acceptance from its members. You should not assume immediate inclusion simply because you have found them. It is common for new arrivals to remain nearby at a respectful distance while observing, following, or waiting to be acknowledged.
- # Band members may displace you, warn you off, or behave defensively if you approach too quickly or disrupt the stability of the group—especially around foals, dominant mares, or territorial stallions. This is normal herd behavior and should be expected. It is often best to trail from a distance, remain non-threatening, and allow trust or tolerance to build.

Being alone does not mean you are lost or doing something incorrectly. Searching, calling, and gradually forming social bonds is part of the intended gameplay and reflects realistic herd dynamics.
- # Keep in mind that calls do not serve as reliable tracking, they can easily be misunderstood when you are a long distance away. The host cannot place players into groups, however, there are some exceptions to where they can teleport you. They will also provide everyone with common natural gathering points and herd zones.
