Not sure how many of you have heard of an app called "ShareTheMeal" it’s a project by the UN, under their World Food Programme.
The idea is simple, you can donate to different causes or goals, and every donation helps provide meals to those in need.
It starts from just USD $0.80 per meal (less than a cup of coffee), so for around USD$4.80, you can provide six meals for a family or people in need.
I used to donate to various programs, but I’ve focused more on Lebanon ever since it was added after the last war.
Also, when you create an account, the app shows your personal impact (shown in the first photo) how many meals you’ve donated, how many goals you’ve supported, and the countries you’ve helped.
Therefore, if you could afford to spend USD$0.80 for at least one meal, know that you've helped someone in need.

Lately I have been thinking about something personal and kind of heavy and I wanted to hear from other Lebanese.
For those of you who identify as atheists (or agnostic) do you ever feel like you’re somehow “less Lebanese” because of it?
Iam not talking about politics or sectarian labels. I mean the day to day stuff:
Not going to church on Sunday or to the mosque with your family, not fasting, not celebrating religious holidays the traditional way, not engaging in the rituals that are so tied into our culture. Not believing in saints, 2eddis Charbel, or pilgrimage.
Not decorating your house with icons or photos of divines and saints. Not doing the typical holiday rituals or big religious gatherings.
Sometimes it feels like all those things are part of being Lebanese. And when you don’t participate, you start to feel like you’re watching from the outside looking in.

Iran’s Foreign Minister made a working visit to Lebanon. Upon arriving in Beirut, he stated that Iran hopes ‘to open a new page with Lebanon.’ During his visit, he praised Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, stating that his death would ‘lead to an increase in the strength of the Islamic resistance, because the resistance is very much alive, and so is Sayyid Nasrallah.’ He met with Hezbollah officials, and Hezbollah MP Ali Ammar thanked him for ‘Iran’s continued support to Lebanon, in all fields.’
President Joseph Aoun met with Iran’s Foreign Minister. He stated that ‘dialogue is the solution to all disputed issues.’
He also met with a delegation from the IMF, as well as a delegation from the foreign affairs committee of the French parliament.
President Aoun then attended the Smart Government Conference in Beirut. In his speech, he emphasized on the need for digitization, and outlined his plan for an ‘e-government’ in Lebanon, which he said would greatly help in combating corruption.
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam also spoke at the conference. He stated that ‘Lebanon cannot remain outside the digital world,’ adding that ‘digital transformation is the gateway to reforming state institutions, and restoring citizens’ confidence in them.’
Prime Minister Salam then met with the Iranian Foreign Minister. They particularly emphasized the need to ‘strengthen trade and economic relations.’ Al-Jadeed reported that the Foreign Minister asked PM Salam to lift the ban on Iranian flights to Lebanon, but PM Salam refused, stating that the ban is in place ‘for security reasons.’
PM Salam concluded his day with several meetings. He met with a delegation from the French parliamentary delegation, a delegation from the Lebanese-French Friendship Group, and several MPs. They discussed developments in the Akkar Governorate. Prime Minister Salam stated that the Qlayaat Airport ‘will soon come to light,’ and promised to establish a national university in the area.

Reports suggesting that Deputy U.S Special Envoy to the Middle East, Morgan Ortagus, may leave her position circulated. She is expected to be transferred to another role within the Trump administration, and her replacement will be announced later this week. Al-Jadeed confirmed that these reports are likely accurate, and emphasized that this move is not expected to cause a major shift in U.S policy towards Lebanon.

Weird question.
Was talking to my wife about how disgusting it is walking around European cities with pee puddles all over the place, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. Started wondering if this is a white people thing or do people do it in Beirut and/or other cities in Lebanon too?

I've heard both sides of the story, now their side from their perspective is somewhat ok, I mean he did let them live their lives, didn't pay for electricity, paid them for nothing. Heck! Some people thought he was Al mahdi ffs 💀. Saying that he said that riots from HA, at3 ltari2, w Hal osas, are the government's problem and that he's got nothing to do with it feels like he's um avoiding responsibility. He's the leader of HA so he should keep his puppies from biting, but ig not. So what do you guys think?

I’ll be going to Jordan with my fiancé because his family lives there. I was thinking of going to visit family in Dahyeh and Baalbek (10 minutes out of Ras Al Ayn), all my family is advising against it. I think they’re just worried that if something happens, my parents will blame them for telling me it’s okay to come. I just wanna come for like 3-4 days to visit family and go back home. Conditions of Dahyeh and Baalbek probably won’t get better this summer and something could happen, I just really wanna see my cousins and 2 of my aunts. It feels like a coin toss right now.

Hey guys, I'm 21 years and live in leb, and i find that i've been attracted to older women 35-60 range for as long as i've known. I consider myself to be objectively attractive but I think the stigma around the topic has held me back from pursuing the women i want to pursue, What do you guys think about a person my age approaching/flirting with an older woman in our society; should I pursue my interests or would it be a waste of time/disrespectful to them.
Would appreciate some advice.

Deputy U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Morgan Ortagus, was interviewed by LBC. She stated that the U.S and the Gulf Arab states firmly believe that Lebanon will only achieve peace and prosperity once Hezbollah is disarmed. She stressed that the U.S. is working hard on ‘finding, identifying, naming, exposing, and sanctioning’ anyone involved in illegally funding Hezbollah. She described President Joseph Aoun as a ‘historic’ president, hinted that the U.S hopes Lebanon will join the Abraham Accords, and revealed that she will visit Lebanon sometime in June. Now this is mostly for gym people or people that care about calories and/or protein. Candia 0% Fat labneh. The macros are insane, an entire tub (450g) is 302 calories for 45g of protein.
I know Labneh isn't the most filling food, and that Taanayel Greek yogurt does taste quite good, it's still worth a shot or a consideration tbh.

Lebanon: the country where the only thing more unstable than the currency is the Wi-Fi. A place where electricity is like a part-time employee—shows up whenever it wants, takes long breaks, and disappears for days without notice.
You’ve got a government that changes faster than the weather but somehow still manages to do absolutely nothing. Ministers rotate like musical chairs, but the music is just people screaming “wasta!” while dodging potholes the size of small nations.
Oh, and the economy? It’s like a badly managed WhatsApp group—no one knows who’s in charge, messages get lost, and once in a while someone sends a voice note about a new lira-to-dollar rate that makes everyone cry.
Banks? You mean the legal pickpockets. Try getting your own money and you'll feel like you're robbing yourself. And don’t get us started on customer service—where else in the world do you go to complain and end up apologizing to the staff?
The youth either leave the country or stay to meme their way through trauma. You can have three degrees and still end up selling mana’eesh to make rent. But hey—at least the zaatar’s still affordable. For now.
And let’s not forget traffic: a beautiful ballet of chaos, where red lights are suggestions, turn signals are decorative, and every driver is a philosopher who believes “rules are colonial constructs.”
But despite all this, somehow, people still party like the country isn’t imploding. Because if Lebanon’s good at one thing, it’s dancing on the edge of the cliff with a glass of arak in hand.

Is anyone else here atheist and finding it super hard to even think about marriage in Lebanon? Like, it’s already tough just being open about not believing, but when it comes to relationships, it gets even harder. Most people expect religion to be part of everything the wedding, kids, daily life.feels like it’s impossible to meet someone who’s on the same page. I don’t really know where to look or how to even bring it up without things getting weird.

● American sources to Jadeed: The Lebanese Army was supposed to enter the warehouse in the Hadath area in Dahye, just as it entered other Hezbollah-affiliated warehouses in Kfarchima, Jadra, and other areas.
● American sources to Jadeed: Israel informed Washington that it would target the warehouse in Hadath if the army did not enter it, and then informed Washington, which in turn notified Lebanon. The spokesperson for the Israeli army issued a warning regarding the targeting.
● American sources to Jadeed: Hezbollah surrounded the area for hours before allowing the Lebanese army to enter and detonate the munitions inside.

For the background, I've done a few projects for my school, like building an app & a website for school articles, creating Google forms polls for the school, participating in a convention & presenting a project on behalf of the school, and then I was chosen to participate in the PISA exam, where the people there were cool & chill, but that's where shit gets fucked up, I chatted for a bit with the guys who came from PISA,and I talked about my GitHub repository and a few of my C & C++ projects, and mentioned a website that I made before (https://www.vita.unaux.com),and that's where probably some Hezbollah agent heard us,and literally like 2 days later, some of the Hezbollah lenient students start "inviting me to "cultural conventions " & they wanted to"give me Nasrallah badges" & "fix a few laptops". The shit doesn't end here,I used to go to the mosque to pray daily, and when some Mahdi scouts saw that I was going daily and reciting Quran, they wanted me to "join their youth" & "participate in Quranic recitations", which is probably also a trap
After all of this, I'm trying to leave a distance as much as possible to avoid falling into this rabbit hole, but like DAMN,their fucking network is so strong,at my school, they're always trying to hang Nasrallah pics and distribute Nasrallah badges,in mosques & public events, their scouts are always trying to recruit people, and I've heard that the network extends even further and further.
