the best ideal anime to first watch is Death Note
I'd say depends on the person- if they like to go with a little mystry and suspense then death note is great.
But mostly people get introduced by Shonen anime- Naruto, pokemon, dbz etc
Shonen is good start too but its just so overrated af

It's a reverse harem, it's a shoujos anime mostly targeted to teenaged highschool girls, it's about a girl who's just a normal student but suddenly becomes a goddess due to a previous owner (of the shrine) kissing her (that's how they change the owner of the shrine (or becoming a god) the whole thing is about the girl navigating on how to handle being a shrine goddess while other previous goddesses and gods meet her and she has earn their respect (Also love interests but she only falls for one character) I absolutely cried in the ending
