The name didnt live up to the expectations
And theres surprisingly decent amounts of people living in Greenland
(Also Trump was involved in an incident regarding of Greenland for something I forgot it was abt)
well actually i have read a interesting story regarding its name
idk if its true or not tho
that vikings who came greenland at first
wanted to build a community there..so they need people to migrate there
but if they told them that place was all ice then nobody would move
so they named it Greenland..so that people will think its all green there and less snow
and i checked and its a true story
What's actually funny about this naming incident was that a certain criminal wants to rule the whole land, so naming Greenland, despite being a desert of ice, became his biggest scam

Another fun fact, the reason why Iceland was called "Iceland" because some random guy became bitter after arriving at the wrong time during a harsh winter and his cattle died of starvation.
