snowyorange-96 OP

Like if ur not homeless, why are you mocking someone who is struggling? i feel it is very unfair and we should do more good for the society ngl.

snowyorange-96 OP

What if it was not their fault and the taxes and stuff that made it harder

snowyorange-96 OP

Maybe

swiftorchid-87

everyone pays taxes but not everyone is homeless

snowyorange-96 OP

Thats true but i heard in some countries its difficult

snowyorange-96 OP

Ye its sad

swiftorchid-87

yea def in developing countries sometimes things are out of peoples control so thats why they are homeless

swiftorchid-87

but in developed countries..u can always get a basic pay job

swiftorchid-87

which can at least cover basic life needs

snowyorange-96 OP

Ye i feel sorry for them fr

swiftorchid-87

so its all jus bout not wanting to work hard enough

swiftorchid-87

are their homeless people in norway too?? dont they give some basic amount of money to all citizens

swiftorchid-87

if they are unemployed

snowyorange-96 OP

I dont see people in the streets

snowyorange-96 OP

Where i am

snowyorange-96 OP

But countries i visited i saw many

swiftorchid-87

yea but thats possbile due to really high taxes ig

freshmaple-47

Yeah homeless people are humans too

freshmaple-47

a lot of them war veterans

freshmaple-47

smh

swiftorchid-87

and not wanting to spend half of it on wars and defense

swiftorchid-87

yeah all depends on circumstances

snowyorange-96 OP

Ye sad

snowyorange-96 OP

Like i see much sadness

snowyorange-96 OP

Fr

snowyorange-96 OP

True

warmpanda-50

While I do agree that shaming is wrong, most homeless people have addictions loke alcohol, dr*gs and gambling. They ended up homeless because of these addictions, not viceversa. And unfortunately most of them also refuse help, because it would mean working for something, and most of them are happy leeching off society:tomsip:

snowyorange-96 OP

Ye maybe but like i think many gets homeless bc bad pays in many countries

snowyorange-96 OP

Which lead them to

snowyorange-96 OP

Homelessness

snowyorange-96 OP

Oh ngl that i dont know about but ye i think it is also a bad thing

warmpanda-50

Yes, I know that and I'm hapoy that you're doing good. But I've worked next to them for quite some times. Except the ones that are happy to be there so that they can evade the state and do whatever they want, most of them are so mentally ill and lost in their addictions that they become dangerous for other people. Either they get treated medically (which they should) or they shouldn't be allowed to roam free and cause harm.

snowyorange-96 OP

Had to search something up to know meaning

snowyorange-96 OP

Ye if it happens bad like that they should get help

snowyorange-96 OP

To get home repairs and whatever was brokem

snowyorange-96 OP

Broken

warmpanda-50

Idk about other countries. In mine and most of Europe too it's because of their choices only, because they can get help quote easly, they just refuse to do so.

snowyorange-96 OP

And they should also get help for medications reasons

snowyorange-96 OP

If anything happenf

snowyorange-96 OP

Oh i see thats very bad

grandquiver-69

Not all homeless ppl take dr*gs, alcohol or have an type of addiction, but their home situation could be shit so it's safer for them to leave, yet services aren't helpful and neiyr shelters, even with 'support' like helping food banks to give them meals is only a short term solution

grandquiver-69

Many ppl don't choose it, or r forced into it otherwise their lives could be in danger

swiftorchid-87

if u are in a western developed nation where there are minimum wages rules..jus find a basic pay work..unless u have a medical condition..that person is solely responsible for thier condition

grandquiver-69

Well I'm in the UK which is technically 'developed' but I wouldn't call it that, jobs aren't that easy to get anymore (Ik many ppl applying to many for months and getting rejected for the smallest jobs), and even then the job market is pretty bad (mainly NHS)

grandquiver-69

Tho I wouldn't call the UK exactly developed, a while ago the Tory government tried to villianise homeless ppl by trying to lock them up back when rishi sunak was prime minister, I don't think the bill was passed tho (I don't remember much since was a while ago)

warmpanda-50

What most people can't understand, really they cannot even fathom, is that the majority of these people are actually happy to live like that and wouldn't waste a second to guilt trip them and use their own mercy and sense of humanity for personal gains. They would gladly ask you for money on the side of the street and make you look bad instead of searching for medical help and eventually even getting a job for themselves (which in most developed nations is easy to do). They just have no shame nor consciousness to feel bad about extorting your hard-earned money from you:armscrossed:

grandquiver-69

Off topic from my side but the idea of developed countries is insanely flawed (especially in modern times)

grandquiver-69

It's not as easy as it sounds in some western countries, also it's generalising the whole homeless population

snowyorange-96 OP

I mean sure thats true

snowyorange-96 OP

Many scammers want money

snowyorange-96 OP

And they wont leave us alone

snowyorange-96 OP

Before they get it

snowyorange-96 OP

Like its rude asf

snowyorange-96 OP

It happend to me in norway

snowyorange-96 OP

A woman scammer said need help with medical blablabla i gave her some money she asked for more

snowyorange-96 OP

So greedy fr

warmpanda-50

It happens to me every damn day in my city

snowyorange-96 OP

Thats sad fr

warmpanda-50

Once I even almost get robbed and st@bbed:armscrossed:

warmpanda-50

I have no empathy

snowyorange-96 OP

Oh thats sad they cant apply jobs

grandquiver-69

Yh some of them r organised efforts, sometimes they work in groups

snowyorange-96 OP

True

snowyorange-96 OP

Scary asf sorry it happend to u

sharpdolphin-67

Some homeless people deserves where they are
It depends on the situation
For instance
Karma can be a real thing to people
To the point it can really impact your life
And theres some homeless people that are just suffering through the real world to the point they want to get their feet back on track
So its mostly 50/50 on both ends of the floor here

snowyorange-96 OP

Breaks my heart fr

warmpanda-50

Dw, it's not your fault😂

snowyorange-96 OP

:pepetea: well true

warmpanda-50

It's that we don't punish thieves with d€ath anymore:tomsip:

snowyorange-96 OP

But they should be in prison for scamming

warmpanda-50

If by prison you mean a 1x1x1 meter with no lights, food or water until they d*e, then I agree

warmpanda-50

We shouldn't waste resources on criminals:armscrossed:

warmpanda-50

Criminals barely deserve human rights:tomsip:

snowyorange-96 OP

Damn thats deep😭

warmpanda-50

No, that's the end results of when good people are persecuted, k*lled and robbed by the scum of humanity, who is protected and has more rights than the good citizen.

warmpanda-50

"Oh, you use a pfp from a videogame so you must base your whole personality on it like I do"

warmpanda-50

Yes, but I see you're brain is missing anyway:armscrossed:

warmpanda-50

Not even worth arguing:tomsip:

warmpanda-50

No you fucking idiot. I was talking about criminals:armscrossed:

warmpanda-50

Apparently you can't even read

warmpanda-50

Not surprised

warmpanda-50

Maybe if you had read what I was talking about with the other guy, you would have understood

warmpanda-50

Still, if you were able to read

warmpanda-50

Bold and at the same time stupid to think that I'm an american citizen that votes for Republicans🤣 🤣

grandquiver-69

In the end u could say it's part of the capitalist system🤔

snowyorange-96 OP

I thought i was having an unc break

snowyorange-96 OP

Guess in back on track

snowyorange-96 OP

Im

snowyorange-96 OP

I see

warmpanda-50

Yes, because the communist one made them disappear into gulags:tomsip:

snowyorange-96 OP

But i dont think anyone deserves to die

warmpanda-50

I do think so

warmpanda-50

Thieves, k*llers, r pists, everyone that hurts a child, scammers, robbers, home invaders...

snowyorange-96 OP

What is

snowyorange-96 OP

Fair

grandquiver-69

Uh that was more of smth to think abt rather than me making a set opinion

grandquiver-69

Both that and capitalism r western concepts enforced on a global level and neither work well imo

warmpanda-50

With the exception that the capitalist one is simply the way all societies ever worked all around the world throughout history, and is the only one that allows movement between "classes" and social status. That coupled with liberalism is what allows a free society to get richer while still be free:tomsip:

snowyorange-96 OP

Oh i ser

grandquiver-69

Acc the origins of capitalism r rooted in Europe from a few centuries ago, and it took literally centuries for European countries to get to where they r tdy (as well as through other methods)

grandquiver-69

Other societies flourished through diff systems, for example India was very rich and now through modern frameworks a lot of it's population is struggling with things like homelessness and extreme poverty

warmpanda-50

How did India get rich if not through trades and private properties (which are usually, and wrongfully imo, associated with capitalism)?

grandquiver-69

Not rly private properties but then again I haven't seen that in my research, mainly they flourished through trade in high- quality products, agriculture (spices, fabrics) and a huge textile industry (the Bengal region specifically had some of the best fabrics and a huge textile industry)

grandquiver-69

Capitalism mainly works through wanting more income, focus on private instead of public industry and individualism

warmpanda-50

Which is something that could never happen under communism. That was my point before:r_kermitcorner:

grandquiver-69

But that's not exactly capitalism either

warmpanda-50

Capitalism is what allows the people to get rich with trading. Liberalism is what allows everyone to trade.

grandquiver-69

The points I mentioned for what u asked abt the example aren't rooted in the main components of capitalism

grandquiver-69

Those may help, but there r main other ideologies which worked well without causing severe poverty and such unlike those two

pearlguitar-88

True everyone makes mistakes in there life's
