How legit is it to ask the Govt. to “accept my demands or I will starve myself to death”?
Yk I don't think they would really care.
I think like it kinda ties it to if I die it's kinda your fault this murder by govt neglect or something like that idk...
not a lawyer
they don't care about the dying person they care about the PR they would have to have after the person's death
Who's gonna tell this to the general public?
Heh?
The lawyers idk the news man...
I don't know
Even then, you're already killing the protest by starving yourself? There are many other forms of protest that don't involve death to the protester.
but people do tend to do these kinds of protests as their last resort
people are stoopid😭
but most of the time these protests are for the greater good and the public too wants these changes
Rebellion is a lot better of a last resort btw
that shit too hard to happen ngl
Well where is this protest taking place?
Also it really isn't once it gets traction
like here in india sonam wangchuk was on a peaceful protest where he said he will starve to death but the govt arrested him and then he was arrested under NSA (national security act is mainly used for territories or people whose speeches can bring a lotta change in public) he was protesting against unregulated industrial exploration in the Himalayan region
Hmmm
What do you want to come out of this? Just change or?
more regulations on industrialization in the mountain regions (ig)
While I don't know how the Indian government operates, perhaps getting awareness and sending letters to the government building could help?
It'd be best if you get people to join in on sending letters to show the public is in unrest.
that shit didn't work they had been doing that for a long time now
govt doesn't give shit yk
Damn
Uhm
Perhaps reach out to the builders and workers in the industrialized places and get them to go on strike until more regulations and such are in place?
😭😭😭
govt ain't doing shit why will these overlords care about environment
Look gng
I don't know how your government operates 😭
I mean maybe get more people to protest?
Or even set up a/reach out to an environmentalist group?
told ya no one gives a fuck
sonam wangchuk is an environmentalist
You said your government doesn't.
Not that the environmentalists groups don't
he is an environmentalist and tried to escalate the matter to the govt
That sounds a lot like the environmentalists care.
but the govt doesn't
So maybe reach out to an international environmentalist group
not even if your mountains are dying for someone else's profit
idk maybe

I mean they can publicize the problem to garner more support for the cause
they did but then the govt arrested them under NSA
That's the perks of being international, they don't operate under your local government's laws.
So they can't be arrested. Unless they go directly to the country to protest. They also have a larger amount of resources to help the cause
ok ts might help
Yep
