I've not watched it and only seen clips but it seems like it, especially season 2
It's the same plot, 'weak' guy is actually the strongest person in the show

no it was still good, the animation is smooth, and they barely cut off any scene. It's just that it didn't capture the grandeur of the whole story the way manhwa does
