I know a lot of people love that. But NO FOR ME. I mean tell me what happened, why are you fking with my brain lol
Inception. I can't remember how it spun or whatever, but I remember the constant chatter about it. Lol, that's what I appreciate about cliffhangers. Other than that, I don't love it in a story
I mean, we can chat about it without the cliffhanger.. I feel dissatisfaction of sorts without a complete story
i think it is an essential part of creating the 'thrill' and 'suspense' in fact i think a good cliffhanger sometimes even defines a movie or show for me...and yes i agree its painful and unbearable if im waiting to know what will happen in FROM S5 which is another year probably
Okay I meant a series or movie end cliffhanger
Those are the ones which will stick with you for a longer time. That's why filmmakers go for Cliffhanger ends and sometimes it doesn't land well
Buttt butttt… I wannnaaaa knoookowwww
That's exactly what they want....
Inception is a great movie but it is memorable because of its ending (mostly)
I really dont think so.. its memorable because of a one of a kind concept
I mostly disreagrd the movies as good, if they are building up to somethign and end on cliffhanger.
So maybe not all audiences
I won't say it ended with a cliffhanger....it sounds less accurate. More accurately speaking, those types of endings are called Open endings, those are left on the audience to figure out. That's what make the movies rewatchable. They look for clues and signs and they solve it their way with their own interpretation of the movie.
Have you watched Shutter Island?
Or LOTR: The two towers?
You are right, open ending is what I meant.
Yep
Would you call it an open ending?
Good question actually. I think nott!!!
Hate open endings
Yeah,it is gives us some clues.... similarly in Inception, there are clues
And open endings are also used to tease their sequels so its the best use in that case
True true, I agree these are not too bad
But there are also proper open ending movies which I dont likeee
Examples
Gone girl
I dont hate the movie but no to the open ending
I haven't watched so I can't tell🥲
Yeah, there was a time when I saw 3 open ending movies back to back and I was so frustrated by the third one
That please jsut tell me thingss
