Honestly, I'll be more satisfied if the one piece is that kind of thing because the person who will find it will look back on the adventure they went through to get it, only for it to be nothing

Roger's philosophy is prob diff from luffy's, whereas luffy is too be free, Roger's is more on his people, of which, requires more power.
The fruit itself is strong enough to affect the world without being eaten, which is why buggy got sick on the way to laugh tale.
