So today we had an incident where I was alone (thankfully in a hallway so cameras caught the whole thing) and the rest of my team took like 20 mins to show up. A student was honestly beating the shit out of me and also hurting themselves so I performed a proper restraint

And when I called in the nurse team and everything turns out the kid really beat the fuck out of himself and his shoulders were super bruised from hitting himself against railing

Yeah he was having a mental health crisis. The kid was really scared and suicidal and so I don’t blame him

Anyway because the kid had marks it had to be completely reviewed and investigated, but thankfully I was in the hallway and seen performing proper technique and they determined the bruises physically could not be from me and concluded it was from the railing

My job is to be the guy that holds down the fort until ems arrive so I was very well trained for the scenario and am used to it
