We should destroy all man-made borders and let ppl go wherever without strict controls
Yes, let r pists, k llers, sm gglers, thieves, robbers, hum@n tr@ffickers, dr*g d€alers and all sort of criminals invade whatever country they want
Who cares about innocent people anyways?
That's not what I meant💔
I think borders exist for a reason
It's not like we have a world government. Each place definitely keeps their territory
Well this take is just an extreme idea that I came up with, rly I think the idea of borders should be changed somewhat
The borders of tdy cause many issues and communities from across the globe have been separated
Exactly
... Yeah acc I meant linear borders so I'll add that
Population size would double or triple
And that ain't a gud thing
Hmm, also more security risks
Well isn't it already pretty big
That why migration laws exist
And legal immigrants are sent back
Hmm good points
Tho shouldn't they be restructured since these borders were mainly created without much thought for people who lived on those lands getting lines drawn across them
Hmm
I actually disagree I think countries hold so much identity and to strip that completely would lead to total chaos
Those very lands
They were created (the borders) to prevent issues arising from them
illegal*
Like for example, two states In war over some land
Typo
Yh it wouldn't be a good idea to strip it completely or even doing it in a short space of time, but don't u think it would be better if it was somehow changed instead of having these random straight lines drawn on maps
Linear borders were created in a way to separate communities and in some cases heighten ethnic, cultural and even religious tensions
People went to war for those lines they arent that random and change in history all the time even as recent as 1967 the borders for palestine and israel changed
I'm doing an essay on this which is y I decided to make it a hot take on the topic😅
I think it would be unfair to just remove them completely
even it israel wont claim any definitive boarders ykwim
and we ALL know why they wont to that..but i digress
Yet those ppl who fought in those wars didn't choose how the lines would be made
Right, let's say we have no border . And there is oil or gold in my state. Do you think the government would remove those, borders exist for many reasons beyond the people
Yh that was just to give a shock level lol, I don't believe that either
The generals always have a general idea of what land they want
ye its a good debate though actually
i can see the other perspective for this argument
i just think it falls short compared to why we need boarders
Removing them completely would cause chaos yet these lines have no meaning behind them except bringing up negative issues which still occur tdy
I'm a bit confused haha, wdym
Sometimes those people who make the lines aren't even from the land, like the ones who divided Africa in the Berlin conference
Hmm. I rather have a border which would limit the number of people coming into my geographical location than risk having people which would spike the security risk in the nation. It's better to have less issue than total chaos
Because some people could believe that borders create tension and divide people and it would be better if we were all a collective community on earth
but logistically it wouldnt work out
if everyone could go anywhere then identity and cultures would die so quickly and most 3rd world country populations will rush into better countries if possible
Huh
There would be shortages of food in high popularity locations
etc
I just noticed this take
though that would be temporary ofc
Identity Nd culture dying out isn't exactly a gud thing. Culture is the way of people's life
its a negative im claiming it to be bad
Okay sure
Max population, shortage of food?
Oh
Ok what abt areas still affected by historical decisions to borders and still have tensions occurring even tdy, examples like Israel, P@lestine, India, Somalia
Wait
I dont think its good idea
Serial killers
💔😭
okay so let me explain it like this lets say theres a country thats population is 30M and suddenly a couple more million move there in a short period of time because passport issues is no longer a problem
they would need to produce or get more food imported
more housing
more job opportunities
bigger hospitals and more school
They do resolve those at some point. I know of places in which they have
these are some issues
Well not a whole collective community but more merging and changing how some borders look like, maybe even making them less linear
So in short, economy collapses, which would affect other systems
I feel like if some borders still remained it defeats the idea and the current ones should just stay as is
yes
Alright. The least we can do is make it easier to get visas Nd all that
So much to read
But not all countries can handle people coming in
Skips time frame
Lol
Interesting
Guys i am scared of serial killers
If it's closely located countries like in Europe. They have less borders issues
How abt outside of nations like in Europe and America, instead more of a restructuring of nations already suffering from issues connected to their borders
exactly thats the major issue with this
Have you met any?
I remember when people bombed flights and stuff thats why i am like so thinking passport is a good idea to have to not let more be
Dead
Visa thing can be removed sure
The ones I've mentioned have had issues mainly since their independence (not sure abt Somalia tho)
They might suffer more if there is restructure
They were on a train
But anyways
And you think removing the borders would help?
Skip
still no especially for Europe they fought like hell for their borders in ww1 and 2 and shouldn’t just give them up and for the usa and mexico issue the united states basically forced an unfair trade for land with mexico they should return that land but borders beyond that shouldnt change
It only makes their wars easier
I mean more of trying to get off the idea of linear borders with strict lines (I'm not talking abt border and security control)
The presidents could not care less
If they did
People would been protected
Already
then how could maps stay consistent if borders constantly change instead of being fixed?
Hmm. Even if you remove them. The someone would still rise up. It's also the people
Not including Europe since they've had decades more peace to figure out their borders, I mean for change in other continents
If we had no borders, we might even have things like ST
cant speak much for europe but i think the mena borders are fair
Lol. I think they fought before this peace was achieved
as in asia outside that circle of countries
That's if it's rushed, some r already struggling for example tensions have recently increased between Pakistan and Afghanistan due to the Durand line, which has completely separated communities of the same culture and ethnicity
So like presidents dont make it better
People will have wars anyways
Its sad
Okay
Not removing them, the title I made was smth to give ppl more stronger opinions rather than reflecting my own opinion
Yeah. People always complain about the president yet it's the people that figth still the same people that suffer the consequences
So what's your opinion then
Ye nothing makes it better anyways
You want them soften?
Rather not repeatedly changing them, but trying to work out better solutions for groups who can't fit within those lines
Sort of, for some places but not all
Like for Europe I think their borders r fine
Yeah. Anyways. People can't figth forever. A winner always lives for tell the story
It's a bit soft when it's within a continent
Ye
Oh yh, that reminds me that the EU nations do have less strict controls with eachother
Same with other communities like that
