grandquiver-69 OP

For those who have access to getting an education, they should be taught their rights since they're so often preached without many ppl not understanding what they r. If it became mandatory then there would be less injustice going around since it isn't common knowledge to many ppl.
This includes how they're treated in various parts of life and what they might sign then into like for contracts. What do u think?

grandquiver-69 OP

Human rights should be taught in school

swiftorchid-87

yea but human rights are still taught is most schools

swiftorchid-87

but the problem is that they are not enforced

swiftorchid-87

properly in legal system

grandquiver-69 OP

I don't think they're taught properly tbh

grandquiver-69 OP

If they were then enforcing them would be easier

quickbadger-36

They taught that like in alot of subjects in school :r_kermitcorner:

quickbadger-36

It's easy to teach people

quickbadger-36

Them understand

quickbadger-36

To know it

quickbadger-36

Even make laws Nd punishments

quickbadger-36

But you can't force them

quickbadger-36

You can know all that and still choose to do what you want

quickbadger-36

Even more dangerous than people who do it out of ignorant if you ask me

swiftorchid-87

yea they are just for the sake of it..

swiftorchid-87

like just in theory

swiftorchid-87

but they dont teach on how a person can practically use and excercise these rights

swiftorchid-87

like they teach Right To Equality..

grandquiver-69 OP

Yes exactly

swiftorchid-87

but even that is not shown how important that right is

grandquiver-69 OP

Taught it without acc making them understand it

quickbadger-36

Oh . They do understand lol

quickbadger-36

After many examples

quickbadger-36

In the world, you can't say you don't know what human rights are or how they work

quickbadger-36

Those rights become flexible when it comes to certain people

quickbadger-36

Like in situations where it would benefit me

grandquiver-69 OP

It's not taught properly it's like ppl know what politics r, doesn't mean they understand it

quickbadger-36

And people also abuse their rights

quickbadger-36

Just because you have right to speech lol

grandquiver-69 OP

How then

quickbadger-36

Just check it online :r_kermitcorner:

grandquiver-69 OP

That can harm others rights, to like for example safety

quickbadger-36

Not enough energy to explain

grandquiver-69 OP

I'm asking u

grandquiver-69 OP

🫤

quickbadger-36

Well. I don't have a good explanation right now. So bear with me

swiftorchid-87

And i think most people know their right..but in most of the under developed countries Legal system is so shitty

swiftorchid-87

that they dont believe in these rights

swiftorchid-87

or they have lost hope that even these rights will save them

grandquiver-69 OP

Yh exactly

quickbadger-36

Exactly :armscrossed: . I have seen many cases where you know your rights but argue with the police on the road about your rights 😅

quickbadger-36

You would be wasting your time

swiftorchid-87

police is one of the most corrupt force in the world

swiftorchid-87

maybe even more than politicians

quickbadger-36

What speaks louder than rights is money apparently

quickbadger-36

:r_kermitcorner:

quickbadger-36

Different types of evil

quickbadger-36

Just pick one lol

quickbadger-36

Better being a politician than a police

swiftorchid-87

um i meant politicians still sometimes have a fear of being caught and have to give accountibility

swiftorchid-87

but police always get ingnored in matter of corruption

quickbadger-36

:pepetea:

quickbadger-36

At this point. Is to study their mistakes

quickbadger-36

Nd do better evil

quickbadger-36

Just don't get caught

swiftorchid-87

habibi if u dont get caught then u did nothing:Smirkk:

quickbadger-36

:frogsip:

quickbadger-36

Me paying the people who should catch me lol

swiftorchid-87

:birdsip:

quickbadger-36

:pepecry2:

quickbadger-36

Elections are close by

quickbadger-36

Can't wait to get paid Nd do another five years of hardship :armscrossed:

swiftorchid-87

:stressed:

quickbadger-36

:grin2:

grandquiver-69 OP

Nahhhh politicians on top

swiftorchid-87

u havent seen how corrupt police can be in some countries

grandquiver-69 OP

And who allows them to do it, politicians

grandquiver-69 OP

Police is a national service thing

warmpanda-50

Many "human rughts" aren't rights at all. They are priviledges. So I fully agree with you on this.

grandquiver-69 OP

What do u think are and aren't rights then

warmpanda-50

Most are simply "priviledges" given that you have them only in a specific country. Though we all consider a human right the right to freely associate, the right to think and say whatever you want without facing censorship, the right to bear arms, the right to defend yourself, the right to own property and the right to own the fruits of your labour.:armscrossed:

warmpanda-50

Sorry my old message was deleted for some reasons.
The right to freely associate, to say and write whatever we want without fear of censorship, the right to bear arms and to defend ourselves and our properties, and the right to own private property and the fruit of our labour. The rest are technically mostly privileges that you have in a specific country:tomsip:

@royalcactus-89 My school teaches us our rights
grandquiver-69 OP

They may do so but usually no one is taught how exactly to put our rights into practice, as well the restrictions around them and how they can also be abused

grandquiver-69 OP

Makes sense, but tbh I fell like even those rights don't have much substance since they can still be controlled and taken away. Then again that's how it is for all 'rights'.
