You will often hear people say: "why can't we all just love <3" under a post explaining certain injustices in the world. This, not only completely misses the point, but also says a lot about the person commenting.
Take racism for example. White people will often downplay the many discriminatory systems in power with excuses like previously mentioned. This proves to me they only care about bad things happening to people if it could affect them.
I think we would all be better off listening to eachother and understanding. Nothing more, nothing less. Lmk what u think
