One time my ex started acting like this performative male in TikTok, and i was like, hell nah

it's less about the specific thing they're doing and more about everyone around them feeling the gap between what they're going for and how it's actually coming across
forced jokes, fake confidence, obvious attention-seeking, people acting like a character instead of themselves..............
your brain kinda picks up on that disconnect instantly and it creates that secondhand awkwardness feeling

People cringe me with pickup lines

Mostly they act childish when he's a trusted one or comfort person
