CommunityOne: Sync Discord Events & Announcements
Summary
The CommunityOne Builders Help community announced that Discord Announcements and Events are now synced with server listing pages. Server owners can opt-in to publicly display these, with added controls to hide specific events or blacklist entire channels. This update aims to improve server discovery, especially with the upcoming dedicated aggregate page for server events, and server admins can now track listing page views and joins, noting over 100k views since the soft launch.
Discord Announcement & Events are pushed!
You can now see the announcement and events in sync with your server listing page. here's a quick look above. If you'd like to sync your Discord announcement and events publicly for better discovery, just head to your server listing page and toggle on the publish announcement and events page: https://communityone.io/dashboard/submit-server/
For the Discord Events sync, here are some additional features:
- You can hide particular events on your server listing page
- You can blacklist events happening in specific channels.
Finally, we will launch a dedicated aggregate page for server events, allowing new members to discover your server through these events.
In terms of other development on the server listing side, as an admin, you can now see how many people viewed and joined your server via your listing page. Over the past 2 months, we soft-launched our server listing and have more than 100k views across individual server pages!
