hey guys! Some updates on what we will be doing for the next couple weeks

1. We will focus on SEO and also more progress tracking about forums and annoucements. Given the amount of traffic that we have, we will focus on getting the technical SEO correct rather than focusing on search right now.

2. Our next big sprint will be everything around Spark. The goal is to make spark more fun and be the best support chatbot in the space (Discord or not). Here's some plans and specific features:
   (1) Agentic RAG. This means that our bot will retrieve information more accurately and also we can point out what users are asking but your knowledge doc doesn't have the information.
   (2) LLM Evaluation. For those who care about accuracy, we will automatically run LLM evaluation based on your custom prompt, so that you will see how different modals will answer your members questions automatically on the website.
   (3) For morre caual servers suign us just for fun, we will allow you to select tags and feels and we will generate custom promot automatically based on your selections.
   (4) Finally, i know for large server, spark can be spammy, we will implement a solution to control the amount of messages that a user can send in general chat.

One last thing that is in our discussion, applying Spark to ticket support. We haven't decided on the specification for this feature yet, but if you have any strong opinions, pleae reach out, would love to hear from you.

Very excited about this new round of Spark upgrade. For a long time, Spark has been a Discord central support chatbot and I think we have the best kind in this space.

Our goal after this around of upgrade is to make Spark the best chatbot and the best support bot in the general AI space, rather than just in Discord.

Hey ! Here's a recap of some of the new growth efforts we are pushing out:

Forum is officially out

You can go to your server listing page, click on "Edit," and set everything up. Here are some important notes:
1. Data privacy is priority #1. We do not publish anything without explicit consent from you (the server owner) and the author.
It is reversible. If at any point you don't want to share your messages, you can go to our dashboard and automatically reverse that decision.
2. SEO controls. If you are a company working on SEO, you can set up your own meta keywords and meta descriptions. Note that your Forum page and your Announcement page have separate meta descriptions based on your input.
3. Announcement Indexing. In addition to the Forum, we've also gone ahead and indexed high-quality announcement content. We’ve added custom meta titles and descriptions based on the announcement content so that if people are searching for those topics, they will find you.
4. Performance. We are working on a new backend version of the server listing to make it godspeed! But from a new user's perspective, the speed is already good! We refactored a lot of our old legacy code to make that happen. 🙂

The Next Big Thing: Search: Let people find you based on what you talk about.

We will spend the next couple of weeks working on better search. When a user searches for a particular intent—for example, "Fortnite"—we will not only surface Fortnite servers but also servers where people are talking about Fortnite. Users will see stats like: "x amount of people talked about Fortnite over the past week." This way, people can find servers with the right shared interests.

Traffic Update
Just a heads-up on the traffic side: we saw a 30% jump yesterday in the first 24 hours after pushing out the Forum feature!

hey guys! There's a fair amount of updates and things that we are working on this week

1. We are looking to update all of our AI models. This includes Spark, AI CM and Hype Engine. This include a backend upgrade on our infra and database.

A lot more is coming to Spark soon, including API service so that you can use it across platforms (such as your website) and a ticket support version of Spark.

1. We've worked out mechanism on how to get consent for your members to publish their content anouymously over the past week. We've also pushed mechanisms where you can delete all of your personal data on our website automatically. A couple more things that we are working on:
   (1) Getting retroactive consent for your most popular content.
   (2) SEO optimization for each threads. For SEO optimization, each threads will come with its own meta keywords, meta title and slugs. If you are not familar with any SEO practise, just know that we are doing a lot to make sure Google know what this piece of conversation is about and can properly indexed and searched.
   (3) Pagespeed. We've significantly revamped the backend for the server profile page so that it will load FAST.
   (4) New UI: You are going to see neew UI for your server detail page. In addition, for servers that do not have banners, we will allow you to upload your own banners.
   (5) One last thing, we've significantly upgrade how we index annoucements. More keywords associated with your profile means more chances of being discovered by Google.

Also one last thoughts, a lot of things that we are doing for the next couple months is to help you grow the right way by leveraging interesting conversations happening in your commmunities in a meaningul ways. Most servers using our bot belong to the "public community" category. If you are a privace, small, friends-only servers, please feel free to opt out on the server listing side.

here's a quick update on what's happening over the past week:

• We've translated most of the pages into French, Russian, German, Spanish and Portugees. The only page left to be translated is the server detail page, which we will work on after we revamp the UI.

• We are working on a POC for our forum feature. We are done with all the backend and currently work on the mechanism in getting the user's permissions.

• We are adding a premium version of server listing just for testing purpose. In addition, if you are an existing bot owner and are on our premium tier, you already got a boost in terms of visibilities.

Hey guys! Here's a quick update on what we will work on this week

1. We will work on the infrastructural to allow us to host different instances of the same bot. This means that in case we don't hear about in a week or two, we can consider other options.

2. There will be a version of our server listing that do not require bot install for now

Just some updates in cases it take a couple weeks to hear back , thank you @Raceboi and @Anthony M. for additional colors, here's a list of things that we will work on

• Server Listing: there are a lot of infrastructural work that we can do to speed up the pages and also make sure that it is loading super fast to Google liking.

• We will work on a version that do not require bot installation for now

• We are gonna go ahead and continue to work on the forum-index feature. In addition to including this as a feature from our bot, we will work on an open-source version so that you can manage the entire bot yourself.

Update on bot installs

If you’re new here and ran into issues installing our bot, here’s what’s going on and what we’re doing to fix it:

What happened
- Last night we sent a DM to servers to share our new server listing page.
- That high volume of DMs triggered an automatic flag on Discord’s side.

What we’re doing
- We’ve already submitted an appeal.
- We’re also actively contacting Discord support/contacts to get clarification and next steps.
- We’ll post updates here as soon as we hear back.

Current status
- If you already have the bot installed, everything is operating normally.
- The main impact is on new installs (and possibly onboarding/authorization).

We’re sorry for the disruption—and for the DM. We’re hoping this gets resolved quickly.

hey guys! Happy thanksgiving week! You should expect a delay in response over the next 2 days. But here are the things that being pushed:

• We've updated our server listing algo so that any new servers and any servers that have recently updated their profiles will get an automatic boost in our front page.
• Added more analytics data on your page (only viewable by you). In the future, we will also add data around impresssions as well.
  *Fun fact: So far, we've done 380K server views and 9K joins from the server listing site. *
• We've made a new round of SEO optimization on technical setup.
• We've changed our algorithem on how we push quests to new members. Now quests scale with members. The more the play, the harder it gets.

Other things to push this week & next week:
1. We are pretty close to push out the rest of the premium feature for Hype Engine (today or tomorrow). You can remove the default nitro items and change the shop images.
2. We will create a landing page for our server listing.
3. We will work on increasing the loading speed for our server listing pages.
4. We will start to work on AI semantic search to help users find you better and also to improve the recommendation system so that users will be able to see you when they are browing for similar servers.

quick product update for this week:

1. We are working on the rest of the pricing change, specifically adding more abilities for you to change the setup inside of Hype Engine (remove quests, remove default items, change your shop banner etc).

2. We will add a new section, called NEW on server listing and featuring servers that have recently installed and listed on the page to boost visibilities. Some additional changes on the server lisitng

3. We will increase the amount of servers on the front page so that users have more options.

Some updates for this week

• We've done some backend work to speed up the distribution of steam rewards. There will still be a delay, but hopefully it will be faster. Please note that you might see a request to friend a different account.

*Another small change is that each steam credit will be slightly higher than before ($3.5 vs $3). As a result, we are decreasing the numbre of the weekly raffle prizes from 10 to 8. *

For this week, we continue to work on our new pricing. There will be more details, but here are some general thoughts:

Here are some of the goals for this week:

1. Officially push out the Announcement section for your server listing page. We will push out the event sync in the second phase.

2. Finish this round of UI/UX improvement, including the initial experience when users play Hype Engine and try Shops. (Also include provide legacy support if you already have a shop channel).

3. We will start working on new pricing. This includes a cheaper tier for analytics and prepares for new tier pricing for Hype Engine. Finally, we will also allow you to mix and match different features with a great discount.

We've pushed out a huge wave of UI/UX improvements. We've focused heavily on the onboarding experience to make it easier for you to configure our product.

Here are our new design principles:
- - Make it easier for new server owners to install and explore all our features.

• • Cross-discovery. Your members can now naturally discover different engagement features as they use the bot. For example, they might get a taste of the Hype Engine (you're always in control of the settings!), or they can discover shop items directly via /quests instead of needing to find a separate channel.
• • Make it less intrusive. Previously, we created up to 3 channels for things like bot updates and the Hype Engine. We've stopped creating channels by default. Instead, you can now specify which channels should receive notifications from us, if you want them.

• We've started backend work on a new feature: publishing events and announcements. We've seen how Discord handles private events, and we'll soon be pushing an update that allows you to publish events tied to specific voice channels.

• On the server listing side, you may have noticed we've added a language section. Here are the languages you can now list for potential members:
  English / Russian / French / Spanish / Portuguese / Arabic / German and others

We will add more language options as our community grows.

1. We've added topic analytics. You can now track how many people and how many messages are talking about a particular topic.

2. We will push out role analytics. You can track messages, engagement, and retention metrics around specific roles, let it be ambasaddors or developers. Since this requires a huge amount of computational resources due to Discord API limitations, it will be limited to premium only.

Starting from next week, we will go over our bot's overall UI/UX design to make it easier for you to set up and enable or disable any of our features!

Over the past two weeks, we've reviewed a significant amount of data on how you are using our product, including what works, what doesn't, and what performs significantly better than we expected, as well as why certain aspects fell short of expectations.

Over 1,000 of our servers have submitted the survey, and approximately 6,000 of you have suggested quest ideas to improve the community over the past year.

We also took a look at some of the best communities out there and gave some thought about how to build a community forever.

Hence, we've decided to significantly revamp our hype engine feature over the second half of the year.

Hype Engine v1 is a daily quest system that gives users Discord-specific tasks with the goal of helping each other make friends. Currently, people playing quests chat 4x more.

We will start work on Hype Engine V2, like V1, it will leverage community dynamics, but with a focus on helping your members to do "MEANINGFUL" things rather than just Discord messages.

For example, if you are knowledge driven, we want to get people to read more about your materials, if you are a music server, we want people to write/play/share more music, if you are roblox scripting server, we want your members to stop slacking, start having a actionale plan to start doing and use the community has a place to hold each other accountable.

We want to help you build a truly meaningful community, providing you with the tools to leverage your existing content and community members and improve the lives of at least a few server members.

A community where people take action lasts longer than one that just chats. (Although chat is cool!)

Quick update on what we've been up to this week:

1. API for Analytics: You will very soon be able to use our API to download your analytics data directly.

2. Free Premium: We've added a couple of ways for you to try the Spark package for free. It is now in the "Unlock Rewards" tab.

3. We should soon be able to refer your friends server and get more free premium trial next week.

=> Our goal is to allow you to actively try out the premium packages as long as you are interested.

1. Internally, we are conducting our semi-annual review on the products and features that we currently offer to figure out what to build next. (This is also why we haven't updated the incoming features.)

🙌 Finally, I want to thank all the servers that have filled out our surveys over the years. Just to give you a bit of perspective, we are now at 4.5k servers, and roughly 1k servers have completed our surveys to some extent.
