Monetize your Discord server. Pay your mods, get your boosts, run your giveaways.

Your members want to help. We make it easy for them to tip toward the things your server actually needs, and we celebrate every one of them in Discord. You run the community. We handle the rest.

Running a server costs money. Asking for it feels awkward.

Everything costs something

Mods, Nitro, boosts, bots, giveaways, server art. Most owners cover it out of pocket, because nobody likes passing the hat.

The tools live outside Discord

Patreon, Ko-fi and the rest bolt on from the outside. Roles get synced by hand, thank-yous go unseen, and members forget the link.

It turns into a second job

Running the community is already the job. Chasing payments, updating roles and posting updates shouldn't be another one.

How Discord server monetization works on CommunityOne

Step 1

Share your story

Tell members how you run this place and what it takes. It's the only chance they get to see the effort behind the server. Write it yourself or talk it out, and we draft it in your voice.

Step 2

Set your goals

We start you with Discord's own goals, like the boosts that unlock special roles. Every server is different, so add your own: pay a mod, run a tournament, something for you or for the community.

Step 3

Set up the rewards

Special roles, private channels, announcements, a server tag. Everything a tipper gets is built into Discord and handled by the bot, so you don't have to think about it.

Coming later: subscriptions, so members can back you every month.

We help you grow. Then we help you get paid.

Other tip jars wait for members to show up. We bring them to you, and the ones who stay tip.

Ready when you are.

You set the goal. We handle the rewards.

Every tip is announced in your server, the goal bar moves, and the tipper gets their role, a thank-you card and a channel of their own. The bot does all of it in Discord. You keep running the server.

Coming from us: discounts on CommunityOne, recognition across the whole network, and a leaderboard that spans servers. Rewards you don't have to build.

The money never sits with us.

Every tip goes into your own Stripe account, in your name. We never hold it and we can't touch it. You see every tip in Stripe's dashboard and choose when it pays out to your bank.

Stripe today

Stripe handles identity, taxes and payouts, the same way it does for any business. The account is yours, so the money is yours the moment it arrives.

PayPal coming

A second way to get paid, for owners and countries Stripe doesn't cover. Same rule: into your own account, never ours.

Discord monetization FAQ

How can I make money from my Discord server without a paywall?

Members tip toward goals you set, like paying a mod or getting the next boost. Nothing in your server gets locked behind money. Tippers get thank-you perks, and everyone else keeps the same server they had.

What does Discord server monetization cost on CommunityOne?

There's no paid plan. We take 5% of each tip, and the payment processor charges its standard fee, about 2.9% + 30¢. On a $10 tip you receive $8.91. The rate your server joins at is locked in and never goes up.

How do I get paid?

Tips go straight to your own payout account through Stripe, and you choose when to get paid out. The money never passes through CommunityOne. More payout options, like PayPal, are on the way.

Is this a Patreon or Ko-fi alternative for Discord?

Yes, for communities that live on Discord. Patreon and Ko-fi work outside your server and lean on role-sync bots and manual thank-yous. Here the goal, the tip, the role and the celebration all happen in one place, with nothing extra to maintain.

How is this different from Discord Server Subscriptions?

Server Subscriptions sell access: members pay every month to unlock channels. Tips work the other way. Your server stays open to everyone, and members who want to help fund the goals you share. You can use both.

Can members tip inside Discord?

Tips happen on your server's CommunityOne page, not inside the Discord app, which keeps app-store fees off every tip. The bot shares the link in your server, and the announcement lands back in Discord the moment someone tips.

What do tippers get?

The Tipper role for 30 days, with a gradient name and a badge. You can add private channels, and bigger tips earn a Spotlight spot at the top of the member list. Every tipper shows up in your tippers channel and on the leaderboard unless they tip anonymously. You choose which perks to turn on.

Are tips refundable?

No. Tips are one-time and final, and members see that before they pay.

Who can apply?

We're opening monetization in stages, starting with 15 founding servers. We look for servers that are verified on CommunityOne, have active moderation and a team that runs things day to day, members who chat regularly, and ideas for what members would support. Owners need to be 18 or older. NSFW servers can't apply, and tips can't unlock adult content.

What's next?

Subscriptions, so members can back your server every month, and more perks the bot can hand out. Founding servers keep their rate as new features arrive.
