How do you guys knows when a friendship is over?

Not from a fight for sure or else but when you drift apart only but how do you cope with it? I just feel like right know my world is falling apart. I feel like everyone and all is changing around me, this scares me. I'm starting to feel really alone in all of this.

I’ve been thinking about what you said, and I really do understand your point about change and letting go. I agree that people grow, things shift, and life doesn’t stay the same and I’m not trying to hold onto the past or stop that from happening.

If anything, I think I already live that mindset. I let people affect me, I grow through my connections, and I accept that relationships evolve over time. I don’t expect things to stay exactly as they were. I also really like the way you described it, about people adding “colors” to who we are, I think that’s true, and I do see my relationships that way.
But at the same time, I won’t lie, it still scares me. When people have been such a big part of your life for so long, it’s hard not to feel that fear when things start changing. I know that’s part of life, and I’m trying to accept it, but it doesn’t make it easy.

But what I’m struggling with isn’t the change itself, it’s how it’s been feeling. Lately, it feels like I’m giving a lot more than I’m receiving. I don’t mind things evolving when it still feels mutual and respectful, but recently it’s been feeling one-sided, and that’s what’s been hurting me.
I don’t see connections as something that should just drift away without care. To me, relationships still need effort from both sides, even as they change. I’m okay with things growing in different directions, but not with feeling like I’m the only one holding them together.

And I think what makes it harder is that these aren’t just random people to me. They’ve been a huge part of my life for years, honestly, like family. So it’s not easy for me to just see things change and not feel affected by it.
So I guess for me, this isn’t about resisting change, it’s about trying to understand where I stand in it, and what’s still healthy and balanced for me.
Maybe this is a new chapter like you said. I’m just trying to figure out what that means for me, while still wanting to feel valued, respected, and met halfway.
