- A real map: the Ashgate Outskirts got real rocks, slabs and crystal spires, scrap piles, broken antennas and ruined towers on the edge, instead of black boxes. The landing zone has floodlight masts, a barricade line with crates, a wreck and your parked dropship.
- You can see in the dark: every operative carries a soft light, every enemy shows a red eye in the dark, the cages glow inside, and the dusk is a little lighter.
- Where the light ends: every safe light (the landing zone, a lit relay, a lit lamp, the core) has a bright edge ring on the ground, so you see at a glance where you may build.
- BUILD HERE is right now: the gold rings and the sign stand in the core's glow at the start, and on a lit relay's free pads once it lights.
- Room round turrets: nothing builds tight against rocks and stands any more.
- Rifts in the open: every rift moved 45 studs inside the edge onto clear ground, so enemies and bosses are seen walking out.
- Enemy trails: the old red lane strips are gone; each live route draws a faint violet dotted trail on the ground from its rift to the core.
- Sortie on phones: round UP, DOWN and BOOST buttons with arrows, and the buttons step aside while a crate or ring panel is open.
