UltimateDayZPVE Economy and Boss Area Update

Summary

UltimateDayZPVE announces economy adjustments and boss area changes to improve balance. Gun resale value for Tier 3+ increased from 50% to 75%, and work continues on collectibles, mining, and other money systems. Time-limited boss areas now prevent camping and will be refined to ensure fair access and proper completion time for players.

Hello .

We want to quickly acknowledge a few things that have been brought up recently regarding the server economy and boss areas.

We know there have been concerns about the economy. Some activities have been making players a lot of money, while others felt less worth doing. Balancing a server economy is one of the hardest things to get right, especially with the amount of content we have on the server.

As a first step, we have already changed the selling price of all guns starting from Tier 3 and higher from 50% to 75% of their purchase value. This should make selling your current gun to upgrade to a higher tier feel less frustrating, as you now lose less money when trading up.

We are still looking into other parts of the economy as well. Some activities that are being farmed nonstop may need to be adjusted, while other ways of making money such as collectables, mining, drugs, and similar systems may be improved. The goal is to create more variety, so players do not feel forced to farm the same content over and over again.

We are also looking into ways to make certain items more valuable if players hold onto them and sell them at the right time. This should add a bit more strategy and give players more options when it comes to earning money.

Another thing we want to address is boss areas.

We have seen more and more players almost “setting up camp” in areas where bosses can spawn. This is not how these areas are intended to be played. Waiting in the same area for a boss to respawn over and over again is basically exploiting the respawn timer, and it makes it unfair for other players who also want a chance to do that content.

Because of this, time-limited areas have now been implemented. Players can only stay in certain areas for a limited amount of time before being teleported out. This system is still a work in progress, and we will continue adjusting it to make sure players are given enough time to properly complete the content.

We know not everything is perfect yet, but we are aware of the issues and actively working on improving them.
