Thorn- -# Deep within the countless worlds and dimensions that existed beyond one another- or a simpler word- the multiverse- there was one world hidden away from the rest. A world nobody could simply stumble across.

  • The No Zone.

  • It was basically served as a prison. And it was small planet containing a big island, all surrounded by endless waters. It was a pretty small planet, only containing this island. The prison itself stretched across the island’s surface, built in ways that would make little sense to outsiders. Gravity was distorted here, although it wasn’t the type of gravity where you couldn’t touch the ground or if you were flat on the ground. No… for the veteran prisoners and guards, however, it was normal. You see, a wall could become a floor with just a step onto it, and vice versa. Sidewalks ran along vertical surfaces. Entire cell blocks sat on ceilings. Guards casually patrolled what appeared to be walls while prisoners walked beneath them. It was as simple as stepping onto a different surface and suddenly that became your floor. You’d think that would feel weird, but once you step onto a wall, it was as if you’re pushing that wall onto the ground.

  • Anyways, deep within one of the prison’s more secured sectors, reserved for inmates considered dangerous, violent, or simply impossible to deal with, sat a certain pink hedgehog. The thing is, any dangerous or powerful creature would get their powers stripped away with the collar that’s around their neck. Not only does it strip you of your powers, it shocks you too.

  • Either way, she looked familiar.

  • She was an alternate version of a much more beloved hedgehog from another reality.

  • And unlike her counterpart, her quills were rough, scruffy, and noticeably sharper. Including the edges of her body. Like the tips of her ears and the shape of her shoulders. It was more scruffier.

  • With her expression, she always looks like she would- or could start a fight at any moment. I mean she absolutely would.

  • The only thing she wore was the standard no zone prison jumpsuit. Or well… what remained of it.

  • The upper portion had been ripped apart a while ago- and the thing is, she’s only just came here. It exposed her shoulders and collarbone. The guards had stopped trying to replace it since she’d just do the same thing again- or I doubt they would replace it after the first suit, seeing as a lot of prisoners wouldn’t care about how their suit looked like. The guards only care as long as THEY HAD ONE.

Thorn- -# And to be honest, the guards had stopped trying a lot of things.

  • She sat upon a cold metal slab that served as a bed. It looked more like a small bench but no, it was a clearly very uncomfortable bed. With no pillows or blankets. Her back resting against the equally cold wall behind her. One ankle rested atop her opposite knee while her arms remained crossed tightly against her chest.

  • The expression on her face resembled that of a rebellious teenager caught red handed and was grounded soon after. Super stubborn.

  • Her gaze remained fixed on the opposite side of the cell, where the only things there was a sink and a toilet. Though she looked above it, just the wall. She refused to use those, she’d ~~shit~~ on the floor if she had to, I’m kidding. Kind of.

  • She inhaled deeply through her nose before letting out a long irritated huff.

  • Honestly, with her infamous personality and how most guards hated being assigned to her. You’d think she’s been here awhile, but you’d be wrong. She’s only been here for about two days, or what would feel like two days.

  • Guards hated her for a reason, some of them would get bruises from trying to move her, some had scars from getting too close. A few outright refused to interact with her altogether. She was just that bad!

  • Feeding her was usually a big challenge in itself. Sometimes she’d grab the guard through the opening before they could react, or sometimes she’d shove the tray right back into their chest. Where all the flood slush would hit back into their face.

  • Sometimes she would start a fight because she felt like it. She hated everything and wanted everyone to know. The prisoners weren’t safe from this, hence why some prisoners aren’t in the cell next to her. They were lowkey afraid of her.

  • Simply put, she wasn’t very liked here.

Thorn- -# The moment the voice reached her ears, one of her eyes twitched slightly.

  • Great. Another guard, she shouting. Honestly, she was starting to wonder if there was some kind of competition between them. Maybe they all sat around a table and took turns trying to be the one that finally got through to her. It certainly felt like it. Every few hours it was the same thing. BeHaVe. lisTen . cOoporAte!. Stop attacking people, stop throwing trays, stop threatening inmates, stop trying to break things! Blah blah blah. Honestly they sound like her parents. Did they seriously think she cared?

  • What was another year? Another ten years? Another hundred? What exactly was she supposed to lose? It’s not like she had somewhere waiting for her outside these walls. Besides, if they threw someone into a prison hidden away from the rest of the multiverse itself, she highly doubted the sentence they gave her was merciful to begin with. She was gonna get out anyway. Whether that happened through another zone cop, when a break out happened, or she managed to escape this cell and sneaked into the room where they held the teleporters.

  • The pink hedgehog let out an irritated breath through her nose before suddenly vanishing from the bed in a blur of motion. A faint pink aura trailed behind her as she shot across the cell, reaching the bars in what felt like less than a second. She was fast, hardly as fast like Zonic / Sonic but it was still pretty fast.

  • Her hands wrapped around the cold metal bars as she leaned forward, looking upward at the zone cop. Crooked eyebrows lifted upwards with half lidded eyes that stared directly into his visor, and a a small crooked smile, a sadistic expression that she could see through his visor. It would twitch as she spoke,

:purplepink_quoteL: Y’know… :purplepink_quoteR:

  • With a calm, slightly quiet voice she continued, getting closer to his neck,

:purplepink_quoteL: Your voice sounds familiar. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She straightened slightly, though only enough to lean even closer toward the bars. Her head tilted to one side while her eyelids lowered further. Their faces as close as it can be separated.

:purplepink_quoteL: And boy does it irritate me. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her nose wrinkled slightly, her smile turning quickly into a frown that snared at him,

:purplepink_quoteL: Let me guess.. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her eyes slowly traveled over his uniform before returning to his eyes, it looked different than the others she’s seen. And then, she’d point at it,

:purplepink_quoteL: Top class cop? Big hero? One of those people that walks around thinking they’re always right because they’ve got a shiny badge and a title? :purplepink_quoteR:

  • A half scoff - half laugh escaped her.

:purplepink_quoteL: Figures. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her grip tightened around the bars.

:purplepink_quoteL: You people always act the same. Walking around with that whole ‘Im dOiNG tHe rIgHt tHiNg’ attitude. Acting like you’re BETTER than everyone else because you’ve convinced yourselves you’re the good guys. :purplepink_quoteR:

silveranchor-19 OP

Thorn- -# She rolled her eyes dramatically as she spoke sarcastically. Then she’d grab the bars above her head and leaned into the bars till her body and head touched the cold metal, smiling although it was far from amused- it was in an irritated way.

:purplepink_quoteL: WELL GUESS WHAT! You’re running a prison in the middle of nowhere where people spend the rest of their lives ROTTING in cells while you tell yourselves it’s justice. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her eyes narrowed,

:purplepink_quoteL: I don’t care what you do. What are you gonna do? Add another decade? Another century? Oh nooooo, whatever will I dooo… :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her ears flicked as she gets angrier and angrier the more she spoke.

:purplepink_quoteL: Do your worst. You can shock me, you can burn me, you can HUMILIATE ME. YOU SHOULD SEE WHAT I DID TO MY WORLD’S SONIC, DOING THAT TO YOU WONT BE ANY DIFFERENT. DONT FUCK WITH ME. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She’d calm down, lowering her head as she huffed out. Heaving just slightly as she lets go out of the bars, crossing her arms.

:purplepink_quoteL: Save the speeches for someone who actually cares, boot licker. :purplepink_quoteR:

Thorn- -# For a moment, Thorn just stared at him. He’s one goofy mfer.

  • Not because she was intimidated. Not because his little speech had somehow gotten through to her. If anything, the longer he talked, the more obvious it became that he was exactly the kind of person she expected him to be. “calm, collected, convinced that because he wore the uniform and had a position above the other guards, everything that came out of his mouth automatically carried some kind of moral weight.”

  • +She slowly tilted her head to the side, her eyes narrowing as she looked him over again. The fact that he had actually bothered to argue with her instead of simply walking away was almost amusing. Most of the guards either yelled back, threatened her, or tried to avoid her entirely. This one actually thought he could reason with her.*

  • How…cute. 💢

  • A quiet scoff escaped her as she leaned her shoulder against the bars, crossing her arms again.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: Ohhh, so that’s what this is. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her voice had taken on a mocking tone, her eyebrows lifting as if she had suddenly figured him out.

🥀 ||:purplepink_quoteL: You’re the big guy around here, aren’t you? The one who’s supposed to keep everyone in line. The one who gets to decide who’s dangerous, who’s innocent, who’s worth saving and who’s worth locking away. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She gave a small, humorless laugh, leaning closer into the cold, steel bars.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: And somehow that makes you think you’re different from every other cop I’ve ever met. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She pushed herself away from the bars, taking a few steps backward into the cell before turning around and pacing slowly. Her hands gesturing wildly as she spoke,

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: “FOlLOW thE RuLES.” “FOLLow ThE RuLEs.” “We’RE PROTecTiNg EvErYOnE!” :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She says with air quotes.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: I’ve heard that crap enough times already. You people really do love repeating yourselves, don’t you? :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She suddenly stopped and turned her head back toward him, one eye peeking over her shoulder, her teeth snaring.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: And don’t give me that multiverse speech. You don’t know a damn thing about me. You know what world I’m from, you know what I did, and apparently you’ve watched enough cameras to convince yourself that means you know who I am. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Her expression hardened, her brows furrowing deep into the crevice above her muzzle.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: News flash. You don’t. :purplepink_quoteR:

silveranchor-19 OP

Thorn- -# She turned fully toward him again, her short pink scruffy quills shifting slightly as she straightened herself. She’d tug on the cuffs on her orange sleeves, wanting to rip them more than what her prison jumpsuit was already.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: You wanna know what happened to “Sonic”? :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She says the name ‘Sonic’ mockingly, as if that wasn’t the name he had at her world. But she knew what this cop meant considering she understood that there were other AUs at this point.

  • A crooked smile slowly appeared on her face again as she tilted her head, her eyes narrowing darkly, although there was something much colder behind it this time. And perhaps, a tint of pain. As if she truly doesn’t want to talk about it, but also, because she wasn’t the reason behind her Sonic’s disappearance. (I lowkey might be misremembering her lore but eh)

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: That’s funny. You think I’m gonna explain that to you because you asked nicely? :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She gave another dryless chuckle, shaking her head.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: Besides, you said it yourself. You don’t think I’d be able to do the same thing again. So why are you so interested? :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She walked toward the bars again, gripping them tightly, her bitten nails scratching against it. Then she would cross her srms over her chest as she stared directly at him, her expression becoming increasingly irritated. She would lean her side against the bars, her leg curling over the other in an almost non chalant manner.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: You keep saying you’re “doing what’s right like that magically makes everything you do right.” That’s not how it works, cop. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She says ‘cop’ like it’s a slur. Her eyes narrows.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: You lock someone away and suddenly they’re the bad guy. You put a collar around their neck and suddenly they’re too dangerous to have a choice. You decide they’re a threat and suddenly nobody bothers asking why they became one in the first place. :purplepink_quoteR:

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: What are the chances that the hundreds of universe law breaking criminals here are not meant to be here:Pinkdash: what if they’re here because they had no choice to do the things they did? :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She reached up, idly touching the suppression collar around her neck with two fingers before letting her hand fall back to her side.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: And then you stand there and tell me you’re the good guy. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • Thorn snorted.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: That’s adorable. :purplepink_quoteR:

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: Everyone knows that prisons:Pinkdash: especially at this point :Pinkdash: are fraudulent, injurious, corrupt people. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She continues looking up at him with that same stubborn half lidded stare.

:purplepink_quoteL: And as for your little “threatening me won’t get you anywhere” speech… :purplepink_quoteR:

silveranchor-19 OP

Thorn- -# She said as she adjusts herself, standing normally as she held onto the bars, leaning into it. She’d have a smirk as a wrinkle forms below her eyes,

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: I’m not threatening you. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She shrugs.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: I’m telling you what I’m capable of. There’s a difference. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She would then turn around, crossing her arms as if this conversation was boring or she was ending it.

🥀 || :purplepink_quoteL: Now if you’re done giving me your little hero speech, you can go back to pretending you’re making the multiverse a better place. :purplepink_quoteR:

  • She walked back toward her metal bed and sat down, crossing one leg over the other again as she leaned against the wall.
