The servers are coming back online and patch notes for Hotfix 1.3.20.2 are available.

FIXES

• Improved client stability, which includes a fix for the client crash that could happen when a player accessed the Customization option in the building menu.
• Fixed an issue where some players were missing DLC and Twitch Drops content.
• Fixed an issue with a missing server browser button leading to the page with private server hosting information.

Greetings, sleepers!

As you know, we're preparing for the upcoming character migrations. Check out our latest developer update for more information.

Over the weekend, we locked some of the Worlds with the lowest populations. This means these servers will no longer accept new characters (unless you already have a friend on that server) until the migrations take place. We made this decision because we've had a healthy influx of new players coming in from the recent Steam sale, and we want to make sure players are distributing across the right Worlds.

The Worlds that have been locked are not the full list of servers that will be marked as closing. We are still working on it, and our plan is to share the full list, as well as more information about the process, approximately 2 weeks before any Worlds are closed. This will give you time to prepare for the migrations in the near future.

Hey everyone,

With 1.3.10.0 due to release on the Public Test Client ~~very soon~~ (available now!), we will be testing the upcoming server consolidation and character migration process. We’d appreciate if anyone who had previously created a character on the testing server to participate, as it will help us polish the feature before live release.

Some players are concerned about the process, either because they prefer low-population servers or because of server performance issues. Performance has not been great recently for players on the most popular servers, such as Pax and Harmony. We are aware of the subpar player experience last weekend and are working tirelessly to resolve the issue before communicating any next steps. We appreciate your patience on this matter.

We’d also like to clarify that the current population of these worlds isn’t the objective of the server consolidation process. Since players will decide where to go, some worlds may be busier than others. However, the goal is to have enough worlds to support organic player migration, resulting in an expected average population lower than that of the most popular servers currently.

We have an article planned for next week with more information, and we want to assure you that we won’t start the migration process until the main issues hindering the player experience are resolved.

Hey Sleepers,

We would like to follow up on the Hagga Basin incident that happened earlier this week. As we announced previously, we have been investigating and issued game sanctions to those we found to have abused this exploit. We have issued permanent bans to those we have found to have partaken in this exploit extensively and with clear intent to harm the progress of other players, while a temporary 14 day suspension has been issued to those who participated in this exploit to a lesser extent.

If you have been affected by these sanctions, please know that you can contact customer support to appeal your suspension. You can contact our support team through their platform.
Our customer support portal is the only platform through which you can appeal our decision.

This breach of the game’s core rules should never have occurred. Although we deployed a fix as soon as possible, some players were still affected by the exploit and the resulting rollbacks on some servers. We have read all your feedback and we fully understand how frustrating this loss of progression has been for you. We will address this further in our upcoming Developer Update

Hey everyone,

We found the issue that allowed players to unintentionally damage player bases in PVE areas and we have made changes to ensure that this method can no longer be used to bypass standard game mechanics.
In order to restore most of the damage caused, we will roll back the progress on five worlds: Pax, Epsilon Eridani, Harmony, Arrakis, Stoneheart by 24 hours from the moment the servers were brought offline. This will allow us to focus on the worlds most impacted by this exploit while limiting the negative impact on players who have made normal progress. We believe this is the most balanced approach, given the nature of this incident.

Players who believe they lost their base to this exploit before the cutoff mark or from other worlds are kindly advised to contact our customer support team (see how in #channel ). They will be provided with adequate resource and item packages to cover any losses incurred.
We also want to reiterate that exploiting bugs or bypassing standard game mechanics is not permitted in the Dune: Awakening community. Players identified to have repeatedly used this exploit will be permanently banned from the game.

Lastly, we will disable this week's Coriolis Storm to ensure that players who did not have the opportunity to back up their Deep Desert base can do so safely.
We appreciate everyone who reported a bug or notified us about this issue. We are in the process of bringing all the worlds except the five mentioned above back online in the next hour. The rest will be available as soon as the rollback process is finished. We will keep you posted.

Hey Sleepers,

We have some exciting news to share! We've been closely following the discussions and feedback regarding durability loss and we wanted to give a heads up that there are big changes coming. We currently plan on releasing a patch next week that will heavily change loss reduction. This will all be in the patch notes once the patch releases, but this is what you can expect:

• The base durability of all items (excluding scrap tier) will be increased by 100%, effectively doubling their lifespan. This should help with high-value items like power packs, suspensor belts, and compactors.
• Durability loss upon defeat is being reduced from 5% down to 2%, which will assist with alleviating strain on durability when tackling more difficult enemies or content.
• We are decreasing the maximum durability loss from 20% to 15%. So, for example, repairing an item from 0 to max will get you to 85% instead of 80%.

We recognize that there are other areas where improvements can be made, but we are constantly monitoring your feedback and changes like these are a direct result of your input. The Dune: Awakening team is still working full steam ahead on the ongoing development of the game and will continue to make adjustments and changes when necessary to make Arrakis a better place to survive.
