I really like Ampharos and I wanted to build a team around it. I would like what you guys think.
I found a team just for close sheet (I love Ampharos too), which involves Staraptor Scarf final gambit and Fari TR. More later I'll show you the team, but you can get it on vgc pastes repository on showdown. It's on reg B
I’d keep Ampharos as the centrepiece, but swap Cotton Guard for Protect first. You already have plenty of physical bulk, and Protect gives you a way to stall awkward turns while positioning Farigiraf or resetting terrain. Be careful with Parabolic Charge: it also hits your partner, and Primarina is weak to Electric, so use its Protect when you need that recovery.
The other easy improvement is swapping Sneasler’s Mental Herb and Pincurchin’s Electric Seed. The seed lets Sneasler activate Unburden from your own terrain instead of waiting for the opponent to trigger Mental Herb. That gives you a clear fast option alongside the slower Ampharos/Primarina Trick Room mode. Pick which mode you need at preview rather than trying to set up both together.
