Summary
The Pokémon Champions | VGC Battles & Tournaments community is actively theorycrafting for an upcoming Sunday tournament. This announcement features a deep dive into a Mega Skarmory offensive tailwind team, exploring item choices like Focus Sash and Mental Herb. Members are collaborating on team synergy, discussing anti-intimidate options, and refining strategies to counter the current meta, including threats like Indeedee-F and Salamence.
So I’m up at about 5 in the morning writing this. Decided I wanted to throw something fun together to use for the tourney Sunday and figured that mega Skarmory could be fun to take a look at, given the fact that I feel it matches nicely into a lot of the new pokemon introduced in M-C

This is what I got so far, mostly just going for heavily offensive tailwind team that’ll be fun to fuck around with Sunday. Any suggestions on the what the last two mons could be as well as any input on the current team is appreciated
Mega Skarmory has an underrated ability imo, especially with all those Indeedee-F in the meta
So far the team ain't bad, but I would use the sash on Arcanine
Yeah that was my thought process
Will also match up really well into all the mence and pods running around hopefully
What should I run on cott instead?
Fairy feather can be an option
Gotchaaaa
Mental Herb is also useful to an extent
if you lose the tie against other whimsicotts, you have a way of avoiding Encore/Taunt
True
The last 2 mons are closely related to what playstyle you have in mind for the team
I feel like I need an anti intimidate with how many physical attackers I have but milotic would be the obvious pick and I feel like it’s a little too passive for this team
Or to cover some weaknesses
Kingambit?
But then you'll have too many weaknesses to fire
I think Milotic isn't a bad fit
I’ll give it a try and see what happens if
I used ts before
You can run scarf arc
I think its so underrated
