If its prankster encore you can also use farig or a dark type. Mental herb can stop encore from hurting ya and taunt can stop them from using encore
Probably against leads where you want to take less damage, and you don’t think you’ll be able to put on enough pressure immediately
Grimmsnarl slows down the pace of the game, sk use it to your advantage
What Pokemons/Teams is this lead best to use
Most likely against Charizard Y teams, and possibly stuff like metagross
There are other pokemon immune to encore like hatterene, aromittise or any pokemon eith magic gaurd, magic bounce or aroma veil

Making safer leads and plays might not do as much damage, but will still net you a safe positive
Ok so
Dealing damage is good and all but if you are vulnerable to taking damage it might not be worth it
Thats why protect is such a useful move
Or detect or spiky shield or baneful bunker or kings shield or shell trap or string trap. Although the ones aside from the first 3 don't block support moves
Say I’m up against a Charizard with this rain team. Whilst yeah you could lead with Pelipper and Swampert to get a bunch of damage off rip, that lead is extremely vunerable to being shit down by Zard mega evolving, Whimsicott using tailwind, etc
Whereas you could instead lead with Grimmsnarl, get off screens and parting shot, which yes means you deal less damage immediately but makes it much safer and easier for you to play in the long run
So basically its important so i dont lose my attackers early?
It’s all about risk reward, thinking about how the opponent will try to stop you from doing damage, and how you can make safe plays that will still be good for you

Sometimes you will have those situations where there are no safe plays, and you have to make a hard read, but those don’t come up OTK often and it usually means you’re in a bad spot haha
What should i lead against rain teams
I always lose
Against them
Usually Sinistcha and probably archaludon
And what should i put on my back
Raichu and charizard is so hard to beat
That's rains worst matchups. Keep practicing :)

Bring peli and Arch in the back
That way you can set up screens, and switch the rain in on their sun

i abused snow to reach mball
I beat snow to get to masterball
glaceon also has shadow ball , so this team is hard countered

rain team players doesnt try to bring rain , they just follow a online template and try reaching mball
they try once or twice for rain , then stop it , i always push snow with frosslass

Fair! That always involves careful positioning
Each team will usually have an anti TR Pokémon in any case
If you’re still using rain, then Sinksycha does a good job of pressuring an anti TR
You can also go for a straight kill on the TR mom with the likes of swampert or Metagross
