Reward Points for governance voting timeline

The FAQ mentions Reward Points can be used for governance voting (listed as 'coming soon') , is there any timeline or roadmap for when governance goes live? And will Reward Points earned now count retroactively once governance launches, or will there be a snapshot/cutoff date?
